Before we start, I keep getting questions about the helmet/visor. I did not make these. They were made by the excellent Sean Bradley, I'm just responsible for the paintjob.

Well, the helmet's done!



Painted, weathered, and padded. This was my first time painting a helmet or doing weathering on anything. I learned everything I know from forum lurking.

But it's still super ...

Short mini-post, just because I am becoming very happy with the paintjob on the helmet so far.



You can see another spot where I peeled off some of the basecoat on top there... that's been fixed now, but the paint is still drying (and I don't want to move it for photos).

I tried out some sealer on a scrap piece to see if I could seal it all up without ruining anything, and it looks like I'm ...

Wheww, been a little bit since my last post. But I have been working. Began rondoglassing some of my vacuum formed armor, starting with the toe plates (because they are the smallest and easiest complete piece). This was my first time working with Rondo, and despite being a giant mess, it came out pretty dang good.



Ended up doing parts of the forearm pieces, as well, no pictures, because, well, looking at rondo ...

So, I've been browsing the new forums since they came back up, and JUST NOW realized we have blogs. I am the epitome of unobservantness.

So, just last month I finally moved out of my tiny one-bedroom apartment that I was sharing with a roomate and 2 cats, and moved into a real house with my girlfriend (and 2 cats). This means I have a yard! In which I can work on things! So, now that I have room, and an outdoor work area, it's time to get down to business, and work on my Sean Bradley ...
