3D Modeling Software

oK just to let anyone know who is remotely interested in this stuff currently I am using Solidworks 2009 edition on my PC, the main problem being that my laptop is so old that it can't run any modelling software. This means that my time to model is extremely restricted as I have to use my PC.

Anyway if anyone knows a way to get a free portable version of Maya, (I have a version of Blender Portable) i would greatly appreciate the help.
