Lights in Tron Clothing

I am very new to this whole site but I was just wondering what the best way to insert lights into clothing. The reason I am asking is beacuse i am trying to recreate the dads overcoat from tron and I dont know how to incorporate the lights into it. What would be the best lighting to use to spread the light as well as the material. If you have any ideas please let me know. Also what did they use in the actual movie to create the lighting?

I did some research into the same project and had saved this link (cheapest prices I found)

Edit: For length total, depending on your pattern and height, you will need approximatively 30 feet for a costume.
