Q. Is it, or is it not, your opinion, that it would have been practicable to have battered and bombarded the town of Buenos Ayres with effect by a combined attack by sea and land on or after the 5 th ?
A. I believe it would have been possible to have destroyed a number of the houses, but not to have set the GHD Hair Straighteners town on fire.

Q. Were you near LieutenantGeneral Whitelocke on the 5th of July, and were you acquainted with the orders for the attack on Buenos Ayres on that day ?
A. I was near General Whitelocke the whole of the day, though for a short time in conversation with him: I was acquainted with the orders.
