Hey guys been a while since i was last on, i've been busy with alot of things. Anyways the last time i really checked into this site was october of last year and i've got to say some people pepakura projects are looking better then ever and becasue of this it makes me wonder, has there been and new methods of making pepakura nice and smooth? or is it still resin outside and use lots of bondo, mat and resin on the inside?

Hey, I remember you from the old forums, welcome back!

And I think the new method is rondo (bondo+resin).

I've recently come to the conclusion that clay on the outside is the easiest/best process of smoothing pieces out. After fighting with Bondo on a thigh piece for a few days, I just said screw it.

I think the biggest difference is the fact that there are new HD Pep models now. Check Flying_Squirrel's and Robogenisis' threads in the pep section.

The 'resin, bondo, sand, repeat' method still pretty much stands.

Only real differences are that many people now use mud/rondo (1:1 resin and bondo mix), and there are some new HD models, so a lot less bondo is needed.
