Greetings four-oh-five.

Although I wasn't fortunate enough to participate in-person at the 2011 Halo-fest this past weekend I was able to catch the live-feed of some of the panels/events that took place. After viewing the Halo 4 panel and some of the CE:Anniversary stuff I am thoroughly excited for the upcoming releases.

But aside from all the new games and all the other new goodies that make me feel all tingly I was happy to see the panel discussing the Halo community and I thought it was important to share the video here.

I consider the 405th to be a pillar of the overall Halo community and think it's gnarly for it to be standing alongside those other communities that participated in the panel (as well as probably untold other communities that weren't represented). I don't wish to get too sentimental, but I think it is important for each of us to take a moment and reflect on our community and how our contributions affect both our own community as well as others that extend all across planet Earth.

I find this to be a fascinating and thrilling prospect and just wanted to say I am elated to be a (small) part of the community. Thank you to all 405th members for contributing however you so choose to...I look forward to seeing how the community grows and what we're all able to achieve together.

I have started this thread as I think it'd be nice to share thoughts are on this matter. Please feel free to post about what the community (the 405th and/or the Halo community in general) means to you or any other thought/ideas you may have concerning it. Thanks for reading/sharing.

I am really proud to be a part of a community as significant as this. I hope we can take this community to the next level, and really do some amazing work to bring Halo into the world even better.

Great job to Adam for representing the 405th.
