The Chief was in the middle of seeking some inspiration and motivation on detailing a H3 foam Shotgun. The thread build is here: Sliced Foam H3 shotgun WIP
When "Spartan Intimidator" (my other collaboration project) showed up and interupted me.
Yea... He is MUCH bigger than me!
He just HAD to show me how the shotgun should be wielded.
How and where it's supposed to be mounted.
How the light on the gun is operated.
lastly he showed me what to do after your target is confirmed dead.

Then I realized that I missed a spot.

Oh OH... let me dual wield the spray cans.

Nice shot of the two Chiefs and the still to be detailed shotgun.
Me... Holding the shotgun.
Intimidator: "That's not how you hold it. This is."
Spartan Intimidator: "Hmmm... This IS a nice shotgun"
Spartan Intimidator: "You know... I think I should hold onto it for now. Your too small to wield it"
Spartan Intimidator: "You go stand over there" (out of the shot)
Spartan LongShot: "But I want to stand here and I want to have a weapon... give it back!"
Spartan LongShot: "It needs more paint!"
Ok... ok... enough fooling around. It was quite fun!

After it was all done and said... We took the next opportunity to do some nice side by side comparisons of a Fiberglass suit vs a Foam suit.

Now... since I posted this on April Fools day...
I feel it nessessary to bring to everyones attention. That there is something wrong with one of our pieces of armor.

Agreed... The foam one is our 1st attempt. It does have some scaling/pattern/strapping issues. The next foam one will be better.

Hahaha that hand plate thing reminds me of what happened months ago when you were starting this armor, some of the first pics you had of the hand plate you had it upside down and I made some joke about it like an armor inspection... i dunno I'll see if I can find it in the thread...

Yea I remember that! LOL. Just goes to show that I REALLY WAS A NOOB back then.
Oh well... I'm still having fun with this project and the foam one too.

BTW: Not sure but I'll try and sneak onto 405th Insider Live from work (no webcam)
Otherwise it will be 10:30pm (pacific time) when I get home.

The my current project is to get the H3 shotgun detailed. I'll have pics of that to post too. Hmm I think it should be a photo shoot with the chief showing it off. Kinda like he did on the 405th Insider Live last sat night.

Thanks! I'll be taking those pics tonight and posting them tonight.
Now I just need to find a few eggs and grenades.
I have to agree... I do like the fiberglass one better (as far as looks go) However I'm sure that the foam one would look UBER if I had put some lights in it. The very next thing that I'm going to do on the fiberglass suit, is swap out most of the 9v batteries and switch to a 3v system so that the LED's can last longer! --AND-- the batteries will be cheaper in the long run.

So... just outta curiosity, how long do your batteries last? And I also think that your fiberglass suit is amazing. The foam is good, but the fiberglass is great. definitely uber props, bro.
