A Word of Welcome from Adam:

Welcome to the first edition of the E-zine. Hopefully this is a sign of good things to come from your loyal crew at the 405th. I know many things have changed since we first started on our Halo Costuming group back in 2006. I am absolutely amazed at some of the brilliant works of art that are coming from new members, and old. I'm extremely pleased to see so much information being shared on the site. It all really does wonders for our community, that we can teach each other so openly. There are very few, if any, sites out there that so freely share resources, even those that some of our members have spent countless hours creating from scratch. And we don't charge for this. It's a labor of love, and we all contribute. From the Pepakura model makers, to the detailed tutorial writers. From the E-zine team, to the moderators that keep our site safe and fun. We are all doing a fabulous job of exploring our talents, realizing our dreams and making lifelong friends.

The 405th has started to grow into a real community of people that care about each other. Always remember, when you give to others, rewards will come back to you. Please know, we always welcome the new recruits. Only by growing our numbers will we grow our community. I'm very happy that our veterans are so patient with recruits. When they have new questions, even though they are years old to us, we bring them in with open arms. Every new member has the passion we had once, that brought us to this community in the first place. We all have to be sure to feed that passion. All of us have been recruits, and you never know who you may be inviting into our fold. We've had the honor of meeting Bungie and Microsoft employees, Hollywood movie studios, and special effects houses, all sorts of game developers you know and love. When you invite new people to the 405th, you're speaking on behalf of me, the staff, and even, in a way, Master Chief himself. So treat all with respect, patience, and kindness. We have a big future together, and you and I are shaping it right now. Welcome to the 405th Infantry Division.

Here is a list of just a few of the things this issue offers!
[*]Interview with Eric Nylund, the New York Times Best Selling Author of the Halo Novels.[*]Member Spotlight on Jedi Fraz. Learn about the man who brought pepakura to the 405th![*]Interview with Adam, the founder and site owner of the 405th.[*]'Around the Ring', news coverage and photos from Dragon*con, PAX, and more![/list]A lot of blood, sweat, and tears (and a general lack of sleep!) went into making this magazine.
Members of the E-Zine Team dedicated *a lot* of their time and worked into the wee hours of the morning to provide you with a FREE, quality magazine !

We hope you are pleased with the result!

If you'd like to give the E-Zine team feedback, stop by the feedback thread located in the E-Zine subforums.
