#208-24-2011, 09:06 PMWhy is it a no go? I'm working on a recon helmet too (no thread yet), but a trimmed motorcycle visor fits fine in it. Of course, like any visor, it will not be seated perfectly, but there are numerous tutorials on how to make the gap between visor and helmet indistinguishable.

#308-24-2011, 09:18 PMTry using a heat gun to bend it, works much better than just trying to bend it into shape. If you dont want to buy one try using a blow dryer.

#408-25-2011, 01:36 AMThere are a fw things you can do.
You can buy plexy glass, mold it into shape with a heat gun or even a house hold stove. Then afterwords apply an after market tinting solution, but first buff it to get as much distortion away as possible.
Or you can take the visor you alredy have and as "got armour" said, use a heatgun or stove to flex it into shape.

#508-25-2011, 11:31 AMYou could also go with a 2 liter soda bottle> I am also in progress of recon and and using a bottle as a visor. Just cut out the shape and tint it.

#808-25-2011, 02:41 PMComes in handy, but unless you want the smell of coke or pepsi- no pun intended- then you may have to wash it with mild soap.Originally posted by spartanx360 View Postlol, never even crossed my mind

#908-25-2011, 05:33 PMYou can also use a cheap face protection visor. Most can be cut to shape and are flexible enough to fit easily.

works fine for the recon, not so well for most other helmet types.Last edited by hollywood; 08-25-2011, 05:35 PM.
