Halo legendary shield

Hey guys Ive been working on this the past few days and i wanted to get your opinions on it!
heres some build pics

My question is, do you guys think its too thick? I do im thinking that the border is the correct thickness but the base is a bit too thick and the little eblem on the inside needs to be thinner as well, let me know!

quick update for you boys and girls! I got milling done and its starting to take shape, much more recognizable now I predict finishing the shield by tomorrow hopefully, and yes I will be tackling the skull and blades so stay tuned

i guess ill just have to update then
finished up the shield today so i guess its time to move onto the blades and the skull, i think the skull is what Ill tackle first
and if anyone is wondering the shield measures 42 cm tall

Im considering molding this puppy up to offer casts to anyone wanting a mounted elite skull on their wall if theres enough interest once ive finished the whole thing of course
im planning to rough out the skull in foam then sculpt ontop of that, probably then mould it and produce fibreglass casting cuz then i can bash the poop out of it for the crack and chip out the bullet hole

Out of all the molds and casts people make, I would be interested but it all depends on price. I know it won't be cheap! I'll be anticipating your work on this

It wouldnt be penny's but it wont be a bar of gold either all depends on how many people are interested as I havent even decided if I will be doing a mold for the shield yet. The skull however will be moulded if people have interest or not and so that will probably be available either way. Ill try to do it justice, stay tuned

Will do! i dont need a huge load of interest for me to decide to mold it as I think itd be cool to be able to give copies to friends as gifts anyways keep an eye out for an interest thread in the classified section in the next coming months, ill probably post something there to gauge interest

Update for you guys! slow progress as I just had a holiday and was away from the workshop but Ive got the shield all up in primer so Its basically one round of prime/sand away from being ready to mould!
