Congrats. I'm sure the side effects of this build will be :bouts of frustration, accompanied by anger, tears, a little blood, lotsa sweat, some dizziness. Maybe nausea and (diarrhea)? Feelings of hopelessness and exhilaration may come in equal amounts. If you experience any of these symptoms, please step away from the build and consult a doctor, or any of the other of the great artisans, then get right back to work.

Oh and did I mention exhilaration?

God I'm so jealous. I've yet to grow the cojones needed to take on any type of an armor build. Post lotsa pics AvA :-)

Thanks alix! Yeah, I'm sure I'll be going through all of those feelings and more during this build. It's kind of a daunting task but I'm just going to take it one step at a time and not rush myself. The fact that I'm a huge perfectionist is a good and a bad thing.. but if I'm careful in every phase of construction hopefully I won't wreck to much hard work in the process haha

as far as you not starting a build yet.. hey, you gotta start somewhere! I'm sure I'll make plenty of mistakes but you gotta learn somehow, right? N of course I'll be posting lots of pics!

It's a boot toe!

Worked on this when I got stuck with the hand plate (two of the pieces aren't cooperating..) so yeahh I just took a break from that and tada! I think it might be a tiny bit too small tho :/ fits my barefoot perfectly but idk about a shoe too. Nat you must have pretty little feet, unless the scale in the file isn't the one you used lol meh, if it doesn't work then I'll just show it off as some kind of progress piece to show people what goes into making something like this.

ahah looks good so far, but yeah the scale in the file is too small for me. i thought it would be fine at first but my shoe size, is 6 english 8 american and i ended up using a 150mm wide boot toe, i will double check that though to be sure

edit: so whats up with the handplate? i know some of the pieces are a little bit of a pain to put together..
