    Hey everyone,

I'm back again and for the first time I'm making a gun that isn't from Halo

I'm making this prop for a friend of mine (who may or may not have gotten me addicted to Fallout 3) and I'm really excited for this one! The Plasma rifle is her favorite gun in the game and after having played it and using it myself I know exactly why. It's AMAZING!

So a lot of the design of this gun is tubular in nature; not particularly ideal for woodworking, but perfect for plumbing. As it turns out, my dad just so happens to be a plumber, which means I can get most of the parts I need for free

So without further ado, here is what I've made so far of the Fallout 3 Plasma Rifle.

If you know anything about plumbing, you're probably asking, "how did it go from being black ABS to white PVC pipe?" It didn't. It's just a coat of white primer lol.

    Here's the end cap.

And I already made a couple of Microfusion Cells

    Hope you guys like it

Thanks! To make the microfusion cell, I used two PVC end caps, one of which is cut in half and glued upside down to other. I don't remember what I used for the contact on the top, but I shoved a magnet down inside of it.

Well the plumbing section of the gun is finished so on to the woodworking section.

            Continued on next post.

And here's the basket for the microfusion cell. It will swing out to the side and be reloadable just like in the game.

              Oh yeah, one more thing...

Hope you guys like it so far. I know at least one person does.

Damn man this is awesome! i love the plasma gun and especially the way how realistic you got on the microfusion cells - they look just like the ingame ones. Keep it up! I subscribed.

where are you getting your measurements from? me and a friend are working on the laser rifle together and he jokingly said, "next we'll be making the plasma rifle!" to which i widened my eyes. you're doing an excellent job!

                              Thanks everyone.

This is the last update before it gets painted. In other words, it's done!

The microfusion cells can be reloaded exactly like in the game!

That's it for now. It's too bad this wasn't a very popular thread, I had a lot of fun with this project.

Next time you see this baby it'll be all painted up and in the hands of its proud and rightful owner!
