    mark v1 for halloween

    #1
Hello, I stumbled upon this site 3 weeks b4 halloween. I was blown away at the possibilty of ownning my own halo suit. I thought it would be so cool to wear one for halloween. So i set out on a mission to get one ready in time. My entire armor build took 2 weeks. I had help with the cutting. I cut down on the sanding and bondo work to save time. I also learned a few things along the way. My armor isn't perfect u i didnt need it to be. I had alot of fun and got alot of attention when I went out. I alos missed a costume contest by 10 minutes. Many people came up to me and told me i could have won. I need to learn how to be on time! I am looking at doing a noble 6 build next, but this time i will take my time.

Thanks! yes, i put the cloth in too. I didnt put the cloth on by biceps though and they broke off 2 hours late so i just ditched them. I also made them smaller then they were supposed to be.. next time ill keep everything bigger just to be on the safe side.

What did you do to speed up the process? I worked on mine with every spare moment I had and it took me about 3 weeks to get somthing presentable.

@ downlow261982 Thanks man! I wish i could have taken it out Friday night too but I was so tired from all the work i had put into this.
@ Gungryphon I was able to do it so fast becuase I had taken two weeks off. I was also lucky enough to have someone else help me with the cutting. I noticed the scissors are a tid bit faster for cutting out shapes then using a razorblade. You can definitely go faster if you buy one of those printers that will cut the shapes out for you. I am looking into getting one of them in the near future. I also only focused on the detail for the helmet and chest, bondo-wise, but mostly the helmet. I have a dremel rotary tool that helped me sand faster too.
