Here we go! or Charlies Classic Mark V for Anniversay Release

    #1
    Hi there guys 'n garls,

I wanna share my corrent project, which should be an classic MarkV this time. I planned it to have not the "usual" paint job, which means not that kinda green(ish) color. I thought about something like yellow with UNSC- and attention-signs on it.Oh and yeah I will definately go for the "battle damaged look",so this armor will look pretty much war-torn. Anyways I made a progesschart and some pics. Enjoy!

Thats it for the Pep-pieces.Tomorrow i will get more pictures,to show the already hardened stuff.Did some weapons as well. Here are my Reachmagnum and Combat knife

Great pep work so far! If they come out half as good as those weapons then you'll have a great looking suit!

Looks really good. you got more done than me. Have you had to edit the unfolds? I have been using the same peps as you and have been having to edit the unfolds of every piece

@jongrnlMK2: Many thanks for your kind comment. I really appreciate that.

@BUBBENSTEIN: Thanks alot but I think your build will turn out great too.
So yeah I was lucky on some pieces, that need not to be edited that much. But most of them were edited by me anyway, cause they were scaled waayyy to small.Plus wanted to save a litte paper as well I think the most work I had with editing the unfold was with the thigh. Some pieces were so big they didnt even fit on a single A4-sheet.

alright, its update-time. here pics of my fiberglassed pieces.

          my resined helmet

          the fiberglassed chest

as you can see, I definately need a Dremel or something to cut that stuff off :O

          Left arm completely fiberglassed.

          The cod-piece, just pep'd.

Took some daylight-shot of my pistol. Tell me what you guys think

I think the magnum is too dark at the barrel-guard area. looking good though!

Yeah this maybe an issue. The magnum itself is too dark anyway, cause I wanted that look of used metal, which also explains the big amount of scatches and "battle-marks". So what I did while drybrushing the "pure metal-parts" of the gun, was doing not that much drybrushing on the lower barrel-guard-section.So I left it black with some little scatches. Thanks for replying though.

Thanks alot It'll be really cool to see some more classic suits around here
As I see you did excelent work on your JFO-foam suit. The pep-work on the classic one ist quite easy, so if you're THAT talented with foam, a MarkV-suit would be easy-going for you I guess.

Awright. I got alot done in the last week. Started Fiberglassing helmet and cod-piece. Had also some trouble with the armpieces, so they need alotta work to be durable AND look nice. Here's a diagram how far my build is right now:

Photos will follow soon. Stay tuned.

                        Cheers, Charlie13

Finally I took some pics of the fiberglassed pieces. Enjoy!
This is where I work. Pretty messy I know xD

                          Torso and arms

The fiberglassed inside of my cod-piece

                          My helmet

Only finished the top-section with fiberglass. There are some details, that need to be slushed with Polyurethan first, cause they are too fine for fiberglass-mats

Did this as well, to show you guys how my armor would look like, when its finished

You're build is moving along nicely. I love the paper doll pic, is a really nice way to show off you're concept.

This Build looks EPIC!!, You gotta put a button somewhere on the armor so when it`s pressed you turn HD!
