Hey 405th! My name is TJ and this is my first Halo suit, so feedback is appreciated. I happened to really enjoy Reach, so I decided that it would be my first suit. I'll try to update the thread on a weekly basis and answer questions when I can (school just started and I'm working as well). Anyways, here's the overall goal.
I'm not entirely set on this color and I'll probably change it before the builds done.

Files being used for this build:

Helmet, biceps, shins and knees were created by ForgedReclaimer (http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/...Pepakura-Files)

Handplate and boot (heel and guard) by Ruze789 (Halo Reach Pep thread http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/...a-Files-Thread)

Chest, kukri and right shoulder by L3X BLU3R1V3R (http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/...-File-Database)

Carter left shoulder by carpathiavh99 (Reach Pep thread http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/...a-Files-Thread)

Cod piece and thigh by RoadWarrior (http://www.4shared.com/get/AdiD97r2/...adWarrior.html) (http://www.4shared.com/file/sw1OSPEs/u4ntitled.html)

Breacher chest attachment by IroniumCostuming (http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/...lar%5CBreacher)

Breacher wrist attachment by SIDNESS (http://www.4shared.com/file/HDuWw5lp...achment_M.html)

    Forearm (Unknown) (http://www.4shared.com/file/eFVz4bbv/Gauntlet.html)

The boot toe was sent to me via email so I don't know who the original creator is unfortunately. (I will be happy to E-mail them to any one who asks. Just give me a pm asking for them along with your E-mail address.)

Taking some advice I've read form on the threads, i started from the ground up and started on the boots (Wouldn't recommend it too those new to peping)

Here is the final product after many resizings and trying to find the proper files. Don't look half bad if I say so myself.

Next I got to work on the shins.

Front, left side, back, right side respectively

Here's another (sorta) 360 shot of me wearing them.

Its hard to see at the angle of the pictures, but the bottom comes right above my ankle and the top comes right before the crook of my knee. After looking at a set of references pictures I'm pretty certain it's scaled properly.

Next part im working on is Emile's kukri and here's as far as I've gotten as of the time of posting.

Thanks for looking and as I said before, feed back/constructive criticism is appreciated!

Very nice work so far. The peps are much much cleaner than when I started, same goes for scaling, spot on.

If you are getting tired of pepping I'd look into getting a CraftROBO Silhouette SD. It is a machine somewhat like a printer that cuts and scores your peps for you. It has a fairly steep price but I assure you its worth it 1000%. I cut out 40 pages in 2 hours with it.

Thanks guys, i appreciate it! As for the pepping, it's not the cutting of the paper that is getting tedious at this point, its the gluing of some of the pieces that are getting to me (the knee caps in particular). Anyways, I'll most likely have a few more pictures up in the next day or so.

YOU STOLE MAH UBERNESS AND MAH SHOULDERS!!! Lol, jk man. Very, very nice Pep work. As for your color scheme it looks really good imo, but I've always been sort of a sucker for black and red together.

@BlueFreeze128 Thanks man. Working on my thighs atm (and there kicking my butt)

@Scizor112 I will admit I borrowed your uberness title, but the rest is all my idea :P lol. Anyways, I appreciate the comment.

As a bonus, heres a small update for this for right now.

Sorry for the fuzzy picture. My iPod takes terrible pictures in that kind of light. Knees were a lil too big in my opinion, so I scaled them down and they look better imo. Hope to have at least one thigh (that I like) done by tomorrow night.

Neat. Sweet pep job and I have to agree with Darkrider9 that your scaling is spot on. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see more!!!

Thanks guys, although I fear both my pep skills and my scaling abilities are dwindling. I'm on my third thigh and I feel that latest is never as good as before. Probably my perfectionist personality coming to light. Anyways, I hope to have a picture up, late tonight or early tomorrow afternoon of a PROPERLY scaled thigh.

Don't let that get ya down! I know how that feels, I had to make two helmets for my build because the first one was epicly small. I also don't think I'm too happy with the construction on some parts of my bicep piece. Just keep at it and remember, if it doesn't turn out perfect in the Pep stage, there's always Bondo! The Pep work you have posted is superb, so keep it up!

Alright, finally finished the right thigh for the suit. It fits fairly well, and it didn't come out a complete mess like I thought it was lol. Enough talk, here are the pictures.

My pep got a bit sloppy in some places, but nothing too noticeable. Here are some attempted shots of me wearing it.

Once I get the other knee and thigh done, I'll post it all put on.

Alright, a quick update. I have all the lower half pepped out (minus the cod piece) and will post pictures as soon as I can, but I've hit kind of a snag. I was in the process of hardening my kukri and in short, it fell completely apart. So, what I think I'm going to do is scratch build the blade and pep the handle. I've seen some people do it and like the way theirs had turned out. So what would be the best material to make the blade?

Sloppy? Where? That's a gorgeous thigh piece, scaled perfect also! For the blade, I'd say that 1/8" Aircraft Grade Plywood would be the best bet. I use it for model rocket fins, and it's pretty sturdy stuff. Plus, the edges are pretty easy to bevel so it looks like your "blade" is sharpened. It's also most likely what I'll be using for both knives on my suit.
