  • Team Build : Halo Reach - Carter , Jun , Jorge , Kat , Emile

    #1
    Hello ,

At first i want to thank the awesome people that inspired US to do this ,
and have provided us with stickies , and tutorials , that makes this possible for us.

I do not know if this is a new concept,
but 4 friends and me are starting up a Team Build , of the characters from halo.
It was easily divided , as everybody already knew who they wanted to build :
    Carter - Joshua
    Jorge - Joep
    Kat - Ilse
    Emile - Alain
    Jun - Tino (Me)

I know that people often start a thread after they finished the first pep ,
but because this is also a support point , AND our agenda , i will be doing this now.

    Our planning for now :
    October :

    Wednesday 26th :
File check , we will check if we have the best files available to us.

    Wednesday 26th - Friday 28th :
The paper arrives for the printing of the Pepakura files.

    Friday - Sunday :
Printing , and starting out with cutting , and Pep it On !

I will not yet set future agenda points , because i do not know how fast we can build in a group , and school isn't helping!

Now , for the Dutch people out there ( I hope there are ! )
we will provide product information , where we bought this in holland.

Will post updates at least once every week ! ( we WILL post updates everytime we accomplished something )

Critique , ideas and suggestions are ALWAYS appreciated!

    RESEARCH UPDATE 25-10-2011
As far as my research goes today , ( as i have to wake up in sever hours to go to school )
Arioch , has told me that Foam is much cheaper and when you have mastered it , it is faster. . . . ( Watched most of the video's in the link below )
    http://www.405th.com/showthread.php/...-and-paint-job

And it seems . . . this might Actually be better indeed , with us not having that much money. . .
so i will talk about this tomorrow at school !

Thank you again , Arioch for making these video's !

    Good night you all !

    ANOTHER RESEARCH UPDATE 25-10-2011

I showed the Pic's of foam builds , and they are excited !
Also , our paper Came in early ! *Yay*

but after serching the internet for multiple hours , i was somehow a little discouraged , when i could not find what foam is best used , and available in holland !
PLEASE SOMEONE KNOWS A NAME OF A PRODUCT ?!?

we'll be starting the printing In a bit ,
and after that the first Pictures WILL appear !

    Happy Buildin' !

    UPDATE 26-10-2011

              About the plan :
              Yes.
i really like planning builds , i made a AER-9 laser rifle from fallout , slightly different , but with a working trigger and all !
i really hope this will work out !
And thanks for the link ! Much appreciated !

Just a tip.... foam armor is a time and money saver once you get the hang of it.

I still pep and make hard helmets, but the rest is all foam now.

Thats a big project, enjoy yourselves!

                  Thanks for the tip !
especially from a expert like you ,
But foam is easyer to ''break'' the paint , right ?
i haven't really been talking about foam build ,
might do that first indeed , but does that work with pepakura or ?
                  anyways ,
                  Thanks for the support !
                  Good Buildin' !

When we get to the hardening , we should have loads of pics Every day !

Inspirational to us all. Myself and a few mates are starting 3 custom builds. I had not thought of doing a group WIP thread but the idea sounds self fulfilling.
