Chris' First Build MK6 (WIP)

Hey guys, for the past 6-7 months I've been working on my first build. I only now started a thread, because registration wasn't open for a while. So, as expected I have quite a bit done. I am making MK6 armor, and a battle rifle to go along with it. So far I have the helmet and chestpiece completely done, and the shoulders, forearms, handplates, codpiece, thighs, and shins pepped. After i made the helmet and chestpiece, I decided I was going to do the rest in steps, pep, resin, fiberglass, and so on. My next post is going to include some pics. Hope you guys like the build!

Edit: Armor Progress

My armor has progressed as follows:
Helmet: Almost (just need to add the lights and tubing) done.
Chestpiece: Done
Shoulders: Pepped
Wrists: Pepped
Handplates: Pepped
Codpiece: Pepped
Thighs: Pepped
Shins: Pepped
Boots: Pepped

Weapons Progress:
Sliced Reach DMR By L3x Blu3r1v3r : Not started

I need to repaint the helmet and chestpiece, I was going for a scratched look but to me It looks a little too scratched

It's looking very nice and I personally think the paint looks good, but just a question: did you use any bondo on you helmet or chest?

Thanks, and I did use bondo on both. I completely covered the helmet then sanded, and only put it on trouble areas for the chest.

Thanks, I'm glad you guys like it. I haven't been working on armor lately, I sized the boot wrong so i need to remake it I finally got some more cardstock though, so i am continuing the boots today. Hopefully they'll be sized right this time!

I ran into a problem...

The boot will be absolutely huge! I have size 14 feet (US) so i expected it to be large, but it's waaaay to wide. I'm 6'6", but this is still very disproportionate. Does anyone have a way for me to solve this problem? I would just like to make it thinner without sacrificing length, but the scaling option on pepakura effects both.
Oh, and sorry for the crappy picture, my camera wasn't charged so I had to take the picture on my iPod.
If you can't tell, the boot is 8 inches wide and 16 inches long.

I feel like an idiot... I discovered that the pepped boot isn't supposed to cover the entire foot, a section of the middle is supposed to be part of the undersuit. *facepalm*

Your pepping skills are great! I can tell that you take a lot of care when putting the pep pieces together.

I know that when you get close to finishing a piece, it's exciting and you want to get it finished so you can have it, but you may want to slow down near the end of finishing a piece and spend a little more time in the smoothing stage. I know that working with bondo can be a little tough to start with, but with more practice and the care you put into your pep pieces, you can get better! Your pepping is increadible, but, honestly, it's lost a little with a rushed bondo job.

Keep up the great work!

Edit: I feel your pain with the boot sizing. My feet are only size 11 and I had to try three different sizes to end up with what I have.
