• What Is Soaring Hammer?

#1
I have been getting allot of questions about Soaring Hammer so I decided to talk a little about us. We are just a group of 405th Members that work together as a Team to accomplish projects that may take a great amount of time and a great amount of money. There are 10 of us and I will discuss the Team Members in a minute. We do have a site but it is more like a portfolio. We do not have nor will have a forum. We do not compete with 405th or any other Team in any way. We do our best to help the Community and the prop making world the best we can. Adam fully supports Soaring Hammer as we fully support 405th. 405th is our roots and we will never forget it. We still have our individual projects as well as projects with other Members and the projects will never cross. What money we make off our projects goes back into our projects. To make a long story short, we are a group of friends from all over the place who have a common interest and working as a team allows us to learn more and work harder. If you would like to know the small details you can look at our site or talk to one of the Soaring Hammer Members. Now with out further delay here is a list of our Members (In no particular order):

Ithica - Dave
Das Brutus - Brutus
Privateer - Charlie
Leekegan - Lee
Sigma-LS - Chris
Lovebug - Brittany
Newspartancreator - Joe
Timecon - Tim
Dreads - Johnny
Spartan II - Elvis

And there you go. We are currently sticking with 10 Members but if there is something you can offer the Team as a whole then we may consider.

I hope this clears things up a little bit.

Not just anyone can join. The people chosen have been chosen for different talents so we would have a solid team. There are a couple things we think we still need but we are improving.

Yes we help others. We alsways have as single Members and will continue to do so as a Team. I am helping advventspartanmatrix with a project and Tim is helping Adam with on as Charlie is. We have individuality and cohession so we are very flexable.

Some things you will be seeing in the very near future as far as Team projects and individual projects go, you will see:

Complete Hayabusa Suit
Complete MC Suit
Complete CQB Suit
Complete T51B Suit (Fallout 3)
EVA Helmet
New Recon Helmet (2 versions)
EOD Helmet
Scout Helmet
ODST Helmet and Gear
SPNKr (Rocket Launcher)
Cast of Lees M6G
Many more that other Members may post.

Wow... I just don&#39;t know what to say. This is absolutely epic Ithica. I&#39;ve got a feeling that this organization is going to go very, very far! From the looks of things you&#39;ve got an entire team of awesome prop builders! I have no doubts that you guys are gonna make a serious impact in the Halo world. Best of luck to you guys!

P.s. I have to admit, that museum is, well... probably the most awesome collection of Halo props I&#39;ve ever seen in my life. No doubt you&#39;ve got thousands invested in that messy room. I sure hope that soon, some of my work can make it into that collection. Amazing Dave! The fact that you&#39;ve got many members (each with amazing talent) in your team to help each other out is astonishing. Your team is helping other members in the 405th, giving advice, and creating fantastic props. I believe that Soaring Hammer is going to be one of the best things to happen for the 405th. With all that talent teaming up together, will we see any of the team&#39;s future props to appear on the bluerealm studios site?

Keep up the good work guys (and gals!)

I kind of took it as a joke. =D

Awesome group guys, its cool to see that we arent all secluded to the 405th website and we can branch off in seperate... well, branches.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(DreadMullet @ Jun 17 2009, 04:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>now would this be mine? or the one Lee is going to build all by himself?

The reason why the site URL is so long as that is the full name for our team/group. We simply wanted the full name presented. The agreed-upon abbreviation (which should make it easier for some to remember, lol) is S.H.I.P. We wanted something catchy. Not necessarily that long, but catchy

As for the individual and team projects Dave alluded to, there is one request I received from Chris not too long ago. Don&#39;t know if I should mention it here (not sure if he&#39;d want me to), and to be perfectly honest I&#39;m not sure if it would count as an individual or team project, or if it even counts as a S.H.I.P. project, lol.

Maybe he could clarify that for me through PM or something.

I for one feel extremely honoured and privileged to find myself amongst the ranks of such a prestigious group of amazingly talented prop hobbyists. I can&#39;t wait to see some of the things we manage to come up with!

<-- Hey! Check it out; my post count matches my birth year (1979), lol.

this is just a suggestion, but have you guys thought about putting the Soaring Hammer logo on your armor/props? much like the icon decals on the shoulder like in the game... i think it&#39;ll be cool to see something like this at a Con (or anywhere else), a S.H.I.P. member from the 405th infatry division.
