Hey 405th,

I've just gone ahead with a project of mine on my right shin piece on my armour, and used Mud/Rondo instead of standard Bondo.

It came out perfectly and I'm really impressed on how easy it was to do,

buuuuuutttt.....

Sanding.

Is a pain.

In the royal arse.

We don't have an electric sander and I'm just curious if this is gonna take longer to sand than just normal Bondo, advice guys?

Thanks once again,

Uhmmm... Bondo it pretty hard to sand too. So, I don't know since I've never used Rondo

I really do recommend it, it went on so easily, it was basically paint.

Cheers for letting me know about that too.

Thanks,

Yes. It is a lot harder to sand. Use many thin coats.

Go buy 3M auto body sandpaper at your nearest supply store. It will clog a lot less than the home store variety. A 250 sheet roll of 250 grit 6" round self adhesive set me back $45 but was worth every penny.

yes rondo is much much harder than bondo. Think of it as fiberglassing, only instead of using the clothe (which is already flimsy) you are using bondo (which get hard alone). It's about 4x as hard as regular fiberglass, and 8x as hard as normal bondo.
