Hello All!

Another great Planet Comicon is in the books! If you are new or did not know, throughout the year Planet tables at various events to promote both Planet Comicon and Planet Anime. Jim Bartlett is the one who organizes and posts these events on Facebook. Since not everyone uses Facebook we will do our best to post the information and updates here. If you would like to be added to Jim's Facebook group, feel free to reach out to SpartanSweed or I.

Working these events will earn you a FREE pass to Planet Comicon or Planet Anime. 1 Event = 1 Day Pass. 3 Events = 3 Day pass. If you work 3 events and decide to use it for Planet Anime in October then you would be back at 0 for Planet Comicon. You can work as many of these as you like. Some events will also have multiple shifts available. If you are confused on the system, feel free to ask SpartanSweed or I.

How these typically work: Planet will have a table with a raffle box and QR code. You will direct people to the table to scan the QR code and sign up for the Planet Comicon email list. Once they sign up it will have a green check mark showing it's complete and they'll show the Planet workers at the booth who will then give them a raffle ticket for their name and email. Planet will raffle off a 3-day pass at the end of every event. We mostly get to stand and look pretty for pictures but please remember good booth etiquette as this not only reflects on the 405th but also Planet Comicon. Having a good 405th presence at these events helps ensure we are awarded a booth space at Planet Comicon each year.

May Events
Planet goes to Science City

Where: Science City at Union Station, 30 W Pershing Rd, Kansas City, MO 64108
When: May 4th, Time TBD
What: As usual help promote Planet and direct people to the table for the raffle. However, this event is significantly more laid back. We will be able to walk around and take pictures inside and outside of Science City. Interact with the kids or just have fun ourselves. If I remember correctly, there's a hallway that looks like the inside of a space ship so we can probably get cool pictures in our suits! Parking is available in the garage next to Union Station and will be validated. We have had access to a changing room in the past but will confirm with Jim.
