This should be somewhere in the stickies,but I', feeling nice today.
Its really up to you what you do after. You can paint, or you can add details. Most people use bondo, or body filler, which can be found at your local auto part store.

Like everyone else said, trust the stickies. But, i think you should sand it down so you can paint the final texture and it'll look good.
