I am good friends with a person who builds custom aircrafts and he has the ability and connections for me to send my Mark VI fiberglass helmet to a custom metal shop where they can take my helmet, make sand molds, and create solid titanium or aluminum casts. He figured that after costs and the amount of work involved, the lowest I could sell them is for around $200 unpainted. Titanium or aluminum would be best for lightness and strength. I was wondering how many of you personally would be interested
I just started Pepakura back in November and these are my projects. My first ever pep was the Magnum followed by the Rookie helmet. I then did the SMG, which isn't that great due to a crappy design, and now just got finished with the Mark VI Helmet. I have only pepped so far but plan to harden and paint over Christmas break. All comments, advice, and criticism is welcomed.
