The helmet (and the whole armor) looks awesome. It's awesome how far your skills have progressed since you joined!
Saw you posted a couple weeks ago that you got your new computer. It is now September 2, 2012. So you're a day late :) Hopefully you do return to the modeling community, I just found your files...
Ok, here's the second thigh that I've pepped.

Is this roughly the correct size? It almost seems enormous, but I do have long...
TMC, take a dremel, and cut away the bad fiberglass areas. I'm assuming when you say you did a bad job and there is bowing that you mean there are large air pockets under the fiberglass. If that's...
Thankfully it broke when it did, and not at a later more inopportune moment. I'll be interested to see what your new solution is.
Hyper, the helmet is incredible, that paint job really tops it off. I think the white adds an interesting dimension to it.
If you want to draw attention to a single image because of a question or whatever, in that case it makes perfect sense to quote the image in question. Otherwise, it's generally bad form to quote a...
The bracers are looking a lot better! I think it's good that you decided to redo them.
What do you mean you added some length to the sides? Like the lower rib protector things?
Most LEDs are very directional to begin with, some have as narrow a range as 5-10 degrees. If you "cup" the LED with something opaque (I often use black electrical tape) it blocks all the light that...
To prevent warping:
Reinforce the armor as much as possible with anything sturdy. I bought a bag full of bamboo skewers that are used for making shishkabobs (I probably spelled that wrong) for 99...
The back detail looks awesome, it makes me wish I had done it the way you're doing it rather than pep those little details.
Wow, selling pep files for $50 each. Hopefully nobody falls for that.
Edit: Just looked at his history, he's been selling pep files for a while, last time he put them up they were around $4 each.
Yea, the Krylon can we got said something like 25% more or whatever on it, but she still seemed to burn through it pretty quick. Might be because she has literally never spray painted anything before...
Josh, before you get too much further, allow me to grant you some advise. Score your folds! You can either do this carefully with a knife and a metal ruler, or a more popular option (and what I use)...
What kind of paint are you getting, the Rustoleum stuff or Krylon or something else?
I went to Walmart this past weekend and my wife bought a can of the Krylon primer to paint a dresser. She went...
I think a lot of that is due to this little guy plowing his way through east of there.

What are you going to use to lock the pieces in place? The hinges should be relatively easy, especially the way you made the pieces, but I don't see any kind of locking mechanism for folded/unfolded.
I think this is the part he was confused about.
Are you going to make your own slice file for the rifle?
Hey Carp, how many cans of spray paint have you gone through so far? I'm getting close to the painting stage for my suit and I'm curious as to how much $$$ I need to set aside for paint.
The goat skulls on the bracers are a little lower quality than the rest of your work. I understand you're trying to rush through things to stay on schedule, but the rest of the suit looks so good...
I use this kind of utility knife:

I got it from Home Depot for like $20 with a box of 100 blades. It's a Stanley Fatmax...
This thread is so incredibly dead. The last time the OP even visited this site was over 4 months ago.
I think this site does things a little backwards as far as granting access to the classifieds. You essentially need to have been a member long enough, and have made enough posts, that you've already...
