What a relief the forum whent back to the older forum. I couldn't get on this website anymore.
Wow that knife actually does look cool, never saw a closeup of it.
I can't seem to find a decent shot of the handle. Since in every picture the spartan holds it with a firm grip.
Nice build you have here. I think I might have to watch this topic.
Well i'm from Belgium, you can find your supply's in any "doe het zelf zaak" If you don't find resin or bondo, you might search for a carshop. Body workshop.
And to get eva foam, just find large...
the pep just serves as a base, not detail really. If you want it smooth you will have to smooth it during the bondo process.
awesome, I love 50's scifi. In fact i'm making something from that era myself at the moment. Can't wait for the things you're gonna make!
awesome find! I've seen these guys at the local actionfigure shop. They look real good.
I actually saw someone do this before, he made a seam in the back of the helmet, he stuck a piece of wood between it to stretch it and then filled the gap with bondo. Then removed the wood to fill...
Just make them 2 seperate objects and use a bolean join on them.
That should do the trick!
You can do this in any 3d software, even blender.
I'm sorry to say this but you got it completely wrong, zbrush doesn't compete with maya, thats for something completely diffrent. Thats for organic modeling. Maya is for hard surface modeling.
I...
Studio max isn't primitive?? It's just a different way of modeling. I can do anything in max that can be done in maya.
And blender tends to be a bit later on the new tools thats true, but thats...
i'd do it manually. Do a loop cut, then copy both selections. And delete the original.
i'd go with blender if I were you. It can do measurements as acurate as sketchup.
Sketchup isn't as compatible with everything as it should be. Never liked the vector based way of modeling. Go...
get baby powder, throwit all over your armor. It will get rid of some probably uncured parts. Thats where the stench comes from. You can't always see where it comes from. Tiny holes can do the trick...
We can't really decide this for you. Most will probably say start building because this is a prop forum.
You should really look what you want the most. A hobby or multimedia.
I barely touch my...
thats awesome o.O
Big investement but seems to be worth it!
Edit :Ruze beat me to it!
Doesn't it look a bit big? Especially on the picture that has the helmet on the side.
I suggest strenghtening the inside with fiberglass. This is done because when sanding you might sand away to mutch. Without this you woulg get holes very quick.
And for the visor I would just get...
You probably want to resin the helmet completely. When the resin is hardened you can put bondo or any kind of body filler on it. The body filler or bondo has to be scrubbed down with sand paper or...
He seemed to have left out enough so people wouldn't be able to do the same. That gun needs way more parts then he showed.
Still, this shows what people actually can acomplish on their own in...
You can just edit your post. I also noticed you made another topic with something you said before. Please don't do this. It's really getting annoying.
Wy do you keep making topics with the same things described within them??
just stick with one thread please. And continue updating that thread.

Wel I joined a gamedev group yesterday. And i'm one day on the team and the project gets all kind of publicity....
You need to collaps them. Or use target weld.
Make sure your object is converted to poly.
