Welcome aboard!</div>
Lawl, true lol. Well, thanks =]
Good news, I've finished my Rogue helm pep, and my mum bought a resin kit for me yesterday which was really unexpected lol. I was willing to buy it myself, sacrificing a few lunches when I go back to school would have done it lol. Anyway, I hope to get to work on that soonies. If anyone is willing to help with a guide on how to, then you're all welcome =].
I've made a progress video on my pep too, so I'll get that up and running too soon.
P.S
Sorry if I wasn't suppose to reply =S

Well, my hometown is Aberdeen, but I moved to Forfar, Angus just a few months ago. I like it here a lot better than Aberdeen lol, I've made some pretty ace friends here =]
My cousin's live here too, and they go to the same academy as me! lol
Just FYI, I've started resining my Rogue helm so hopefully it'll be done in a few days, and already I've got a friend who wants me to make one for him lol, I could make a profit is that allowed? =S

If your talking pep, then technically no, seeing as its not yiour work, the only way you can is by getting permission from the pep file author.
then again, as long as it isnt you making hundreds and selling them on your own site and ebay, then im pretty sure its OK if its just for a friend.
-
I think what most of the mods and pep authors do not want, is that you start selling Pepakura helmets on ebay and everywhere. I don't think it's bad to sell it to a friend

If it's just a direct copy of a pep'd helmet Id say no. It's not like making a pep armour section is rocket science.
If it's been modified significantly from the base pattern. For example detailed with bondo. Then I'd say it's ok as you've put your own unique work into it..
Either way, if you sell for a profit then you are profiting off Halo's IP. That would be actionable, and it's a situation we'd be anxious to avoid.
Im guessing it would be better to sell at a price that would cover materials and time only.
But then my friends would offer that anyway to make sure I wasn't out of pocket.

Well, really I wasn't thinking of selling the Pep, me and my friend had a disgution 'bout it really and came up with that it would be ok if I just charge any of my friends who want me to make one for the materials and such, I wont give them the paper model, what I meant was actually making it, like adding resin and putting LEDs in it and a visor, the full shazzam technically. So when its finished I'd give them the complete helm, and just charge them for the materials it took to make it really. I could maybe salvage something from the change lol.
What you guys think? =S

Sounds Ok. Just make sure you can deliver the goods. And that you're confident enough to take a paid job and you're able to hand back a helmet worth the money. Even though you may not be doing it for profit, if they are giving you money to do a job for them they're surely gonna want a decent job done.
Have you built helmets yet?

Well, I'm working on my Rogue helm atm, I'm just resining it now lol. It's pretty rock solid! the annoying thing though is that it keeps getting bubbles! GRR maybe it's 'cause it's glass fibre not fibre glass, the stuff I'm using is just threads of glass fibres, but not a clean sheet, meaning there gaps and so on, so air gets in. Once I'm finished I'm just gonna sand it down and maybe do a second layer, but I don't wanna over weigh it =S
Also, I'm resining from the inside out lol.
