Started my rebuild for halloween. Taking a bit of a different route this year:

I am not going to do the whole suit this way, especially without any metal working equipment but instead mix it with fibreglass and matte board.

Looking good Moz. If you need any hints or help drop me a PM. I have some knowledge of metal and alternative materials work under my belt.

Steel armor weathering mini tutorial:

Step 1. Paint all nice and purdy.

Step 2. Toss it out your car window while doing 70 on the interstate.

Step 3. Turn around and pick it up.

Step 4. Done!

or...

Step 1. Paint all nice and purdy.

Step 2. Put it in the clothes dryer along with some rocks from the driveway/yard etc.

Step 3. Turn on the dryer for a full cycle

Step 4. Done!

...if sarcasm was not identified in this post, I humbly apologize. :p

If I ever finish my H1 marine, that's how I'm weathering it. Get it painted all purdy, then a couple hits from a shotgun with #1 buckshot.

I made one of your Mark V Pep helmets before and scaled it too big, now I'm remaking a new one, hopefully with the right scale.

Nice work with that metal!

I have more work done but don't have a camera at the moment besides my mac book.

I am rebuilding the whole suit besides the cod piece and backpack from scratch. None of the new parts are pepakura now (going the mattenboard fibreglass method)
