here is a little update got some gorilla glue on the styrofoam so that i can apply body filler without it eating the styrofoam

i think i over did it with the gorilla glue it was suppose be a thin coat lol

Here is an other update of my frag grenade at the body filler/spot filler stage. Got some of the detail cut into the frag soon i will be ready for primer

Nice job on the frag grenade. When you glue the pieces together with the dowel, you could also add a thin layer of bondo to the pieces. This way when it is assembled, the thin layer of bondo will help hold the pieces together until the glue dries and will also fill any small gaps.

Heres a little update started assembling the pieces together. i use super glue to hold the neck piece in place and gorilla glue to hold everything together. i notched the dowel so the it wouldn't slide out and since gorilla glue expands in to a foam it will lock it place. filled in joint with spot putty. all that is left is to glue on the top and hit it up with some primer.

also put some detail on the neck "M9 HE - DP"

the foamy yellow stuff coming out the top is the gorilla glue which expand 3 times in volume and dries rock hard

Great work man i think you did a great job.

Can we get a pic showing the scale? like next to a ruler or something, it looks slightly on the big side... but its hard to tell.

heres a pic next to a scale its around the 4-1/2" mark. it was made from a 3" Styrofoam ball. game scale calls for a 4" diameter i made mine smaller

Awesome Job! Love it.

If you do another though try and get a little more detail in the ridged grid on the body of the grenade, notice the cg grenade has angles and is not as round or square as on yours.

Keep up the good work, I'm interested in seeing your next project.
