If you havent noticed. Bungie hasnt mentioned "Halo Legends" a single time on their website. I'm sure they are not happy with the series and this was propably the reason they split up with Microsoft.

Actually, Bungie split before they started making Halo Legends, as far as I know. Bungie traded control of the Halo Franchise to Microsoft in exchange for their freedom as an independent game studio again. So they got their freedom, but Microsoft got the ability to do stuff like this with out needing any approval or input from Bungie.

I think Bungie was forced to resign, they propably didnt want stuff like this but MS wants money and they dont care.

If Bungie would have not split up, Microsoft would have propably done the same thing as happened with Ensemble studios.

This one was better than the first two. I found it entertaining, but I'm still not ready to accept these as canon. The very idea os inserting a tactical unit into battle on space bikes is too corny for the franchise. All the voice acting is too dramatic, none of the lines are delivered with the cool professionalism a soldier like a spartan would have. Solomon was a fool. And as previously mentioned, spartans are way to expendable in this series.

I'm not saying I wasn't entertained watching it, I just demand more from my favorite sci-fi franchise :rolleyes.

thr unsc prowler is the only human ship equiped with actvie camo. at least one prowler is attached to every unsc battle group, its main role is recon and mine deployment. it is crewed by mostly oni crew members.

i hope that is a good enouhg explaination, if youwould like a better one i can post the actual info on the ship class

There is NO ship in the UNSC fleet equipped with ACTIVE CAMO. Prowlers are small figates that use specialized tech to remain invisible to sensors. Low albiedo paint schemes, Thermal baffles for the engine nozzels, radiation filters to damp down any detectable signals from the ship and special protocols like jettisoning nuclear matierals when entering hostile terrirtories to aviod detection from nutrieno radiation(nutrieno radiation can penetrate ANY known substance in the univers, so titanium A armor wont keep the ship undetectable) given off my fissile matterials exiting slipspace. They operate the same way our nuclear subs do today. Doing anything to remain undetected by the enemy

EDIT: Im correcting myself. i went back to my HALO encyclopedia and it says they DO have active camo. i was confused bacause it is never mentioned in the novels and from my understanding those are cannon. my apologies S299, i was wrong

That's the problem with giving several studios the freedom to interperet something the way they want to. It also doesn't help that they're probably all civilians with no military background whatsoever.

Visually, it was amazing.

Audibly, not so much.

"PLASMA ROUNDS"

Wtf? We know, John... We can see them.

I think most of the complaints can be traced back to the animator trying to make Halo appeal to more mainstream anime viewers. Them having hair, for one thing, is meant to add some individuality/interest/artistic style. Super soldier chick with buzz cut = intimidating. Super soldier chick with long purple hair = hot/awesome (at least for the typical anime viewer; I don't watch much anime but I get the impression they like long oddly coloured hair). Most of the deviations from typical Halo stuff (like space bikes, Solomon not listening, etc.) seem like they're meant to turn Halo into a great sci-fi action-flick.

The armour seemed a bit strange, but I like it. It looked like MK IV armour, with a MK VI chest plate, and the helmet being a cross between MK V and MK VI; however it works and it's definitely recognisably Halo. Personally, I like their version of the EVA helmet much better. It's got a crease down the center that makes it look fast and sleek, not like the fish bowl Bungie's version is (no offense). The space bikes' weapons were a bit overpowered, but overall everything fit in the UNSC's design aesthetic. The prowler I didn't see enough of; the launch bay for the space bikes and the interior were all Halo, but the glimpse I saw of the prowler's overall form didn't match up. I liked it, but it just didn't seem UNSC.

So are all of the Bungie emplyees, your point doesnt make any sense.

You dont have to have a military background to make an AWESOME shooter.

According to that comment... This is "recognizable Halo" too!

Im basically reposting this form another thread.

I Personally hate halo legends. Most of it cant be considered canon(again in my opinion). The creators ignored to many details(from what Ive seen). In "The Package" (my least favorite)the elites voices are terrible(especially the assault one, the one that said "two survivors detected" then Oh! look at that there are 4 Spartans.) its obviously set sometime during the attack on earth or after it, because they are all wearing Mk VI armor, but that cant be possible. Master chief is the only non Grey team or onyx-trapped spartan alive after getting Mk VI armor. Then there are the booster frames, the most stupid idea ever. Why would the UNSC make something like that, It looks nothing like something they would design, following none of the previous characteristics of design the UNSC have set before. They WHY would they send Spartans on them, they are obviously flimsy, cant take any hit whatsoever, and the spartan is EXPOSED, one in the armor, bye another last hope of humanity. ODSTs I could see, But Spartans? No. Another thing, I know the UNSC wouldn't waste 6 or 7 Spartans over intelligence. ONI wouldn't allow it, no Spartans, nor morale, no humans. They would say something along the lines of, send a bunch of ODSTs on (ugh)Booster Frames.

Now that the full episode is out let me be the airbag that cushions the blow. This is the Japanese' interpretation of this canon story. Such as there are several versions of folk lore and legends this is their idea on how character and other vehicles look and sound. Halsey is extremely off from what I thought her to be. Ala like this Here But let me say it again this is Japanese interpretation so that japanese fans may more connect to the animation Halsey made into a beautiful blond women in her 20s-30s instead of her natural 40s-50s.

We may need the story before the episode to fully understand it. But I can't really see how Thel Vadamee is in it. But it could be an entirely different Arbiter.

But my point which I will say again- THIS IS CASIO's Interpretation of the event. Such as Beowulf every different film the characters and surroundings are different each time. (Ala the CGI- Beowulf is blonde, Live action- Beowulf is brunette) So don't go considering thats the way things look. Its just the story given to the japanese animation companies and given very few references are set loose to help make JAPANESE newcomers to like the game franchise.

One thing I did enjoy was the spartans' assault on the carrier. In some ways is what the books and what halo wars showed to us on how amazing their combat ability is and how spartans earn the name "Demon" They are so brutal to the lesser ranked covenant the leftover survivors tell horror stories of the faceless monsters mowing through their nipple partner. I'am also glad they didn't take the route of killing off Fred or Kelly seeing as by the end of Halo 3 they are still alive.

And finally about the prowler, Maybe in the translated version of the novel that mentioned it. Some words got mixed up and the japanese saw it as a active camoed ship. When all it was, was a really descriptive "description" of how stealthy the ship was towards the covenant. So probably some words in translation to Casio and the other animation companies got mixed up so they goofed on some small details. The animation is meant for you not be a super halo skeptic but to enjoy the action it gives you.

Thats my 2 cents to the 20 or so butt hurt halo specialists who want to yell at their lungs on how Halsey is a blond.

I didn't like how they depicted Halsey, she looked way too young. She seems as if she be in her 20s. And with her saying Cortana's quotes all at once made me cringe

Just have echo what others have said, could Dr. Halsey have been any more dramatically different than her portrayal in the novels? She was supposed to be in her 60s by the time of the Halo Trilogy. She looked the same age, as the Spartans, which makes no sense considering how she raised them and all. Also agree that her saying all of Cortana's quotes was kind of annoying. I know they were going for tying the two characters together, with Cortana being based on the flash clone of Halsey's mind, and how Cortana says quotes from Halsey in Halo 3, but it was just jarring and slightly annoying here.

I'm not annoyed she's blond. I'm annoyed that she's like 20 and nothing liker her already very well established character.

I thought the fight scenes were pretty awesome in this second half. I really like the new armor look too.

The only thing I liked was the rush/fight. That was pretty BA.

And it showed how Spartans reload with 2 weapons, that was an answer to a question that was bugging me for a while.

List of problems for the HALO: LEGENDS.

Annoyed at the age of Halsey,

Voices used for the Elites,

Gundam (I actually like.) + Halo (I also like, alot.) = Booster Frames. (Which I DESPISE ALOT!!!)
