      Hero,

Do you know has anyone done HD Halo Wars Armor?

      Awesome idea Hero,

      Keep us updated with pics.

Thanks, James! I certainly will! As far as I know, Agbates is the only one tackling (Super) HD Halo Wars armor, although the shin I'm going to be using is made by Rundown (seemed HD enough to me).

This is looking really good. Your smoothed unfold of the Reach helmet, is very nice to put together. One thing I think though, is that the handplates are much different then the MKVI from what I can see in the reference shots of the world premire. Might be worth looking into making them out of cardboard.

Thanks! I'm not mixing and matching due to any lack of Reach pep files available, however. I simply have no interest in making this game accurate, so problem solved! Lol. I don't even own an XBox, so my involvement in Halo armor is purely for aesthetic reasons. I'm picking and choosing the individual component designs I like, which is basically turning into a Reach top, MkVI mid, and Halo Wars bottom with a sprinkling of ODST.

Hero, this is looking fantastic! I'm working on one myself too, but it looks like you beat me to it (I'm using your unfold, which makes it easier to put together in my opinion).

The folds and assembly looks just about flawless. What type of glue do you use to put it together? I like to use super glue.

Also, do you plan on unfolding the 'Reach' chest piece?

      Awesome work bud!

I like using plain ol' white glue. Gives me time to glue a whole row of tabs at once, line 'em up, and press 'em together. It's a workflow that works well for me. And yes, I'll unfold the Reach chest.

No offense at all to those who already released one (Sorry, I forget who or I'd credit them), but I just prefer to work with my pretty colors instead of staring at dash styles. That, and I did a LOT of origami as a kid, and all the books had ----- as valley folds, and -.-.- as mountain folds, whereas Pepakura has that flip-flopped. Unfortunately, I'm still in the old origami mindset, so the color differentiation helps.

      Beautiful work as always!

      Thanks!

Well, if you end up doing a smooth unfold of the reach chest that rundown modeled, that would be sweet. If you could go ahead and scale it up to 6'2" that would be great. Mmmkay ? Great.

Looks good, It better not be a retcon'ed MkV it's one of the best looking helmet's.
Girls are cute, right? Cats are cute, right? When you combine the cuteness of both into one, you get a creature that is so obnoxiously cute that its cuteness is unrivaled by anything in the universe!

I just cobbled together a photoshopped image of what I think this thing will finally look like. It's up in the first post. Tell me what you guys think. I really like it, despite being a MJOLNIR Frankenstein.

Just so everyone knows I am not hijacking this thread, and I have already asked Hero if I could post on his post since it is related to his topic, and I want to see what others think as well.

I too decided I want a Frankenstein build, except mine will follow more halo wars and halo 3. Here is what I am using, and see below for the picture of it. Thanks Hero! ~James

So far, my choices are as follows:

Helmet: Halo3 Flying squirrel HD model

      Chest: Wars (Agbates model)

Shoulders: Wars (sorry, Hero unfolded it, but I don't know who did the model)

      Biceps: Wars

      Cod: MkVI Halo3 HD

      Shins: MkIV (wars)

Thighs: MkVI (no idea what the Mark IV Wars HD models will look like, will see then)

      Hand Plates: MkVI Halo3 HD

      Forearms: MkVI Halo3 HD

      Boots: MkVI Halo3 HD

      ************** Woo Hoo 100th Post **************

    10. Wow, awesome stuff on both of these concepts! I think it's cool mixing and matching and making the armor your own. Very sweet. I can't wait to see how both of these builds progress.
