Ok guys so I pepped a lot of things this winter, and now that the shop is done I got a lot of work to do. My main interest right now like many of you is reach. So here is the Emile EVA helmet I am working on, along with a new way to Work on them.

that is a great way to get it to make a "cast" and you seem to know what you are doing

It's looking good there Ben. Really interesting method that you're doing there. And the new workshop does look good... wish I had one instead of using the kitchen or my room all the time.

LOL Heck, I enjoyed watching these vids. I thought some of the comments you made were hilarious, and your daughter was really funny too... the comments was one of the things that kept me watching.

Very informative! Looking forward to seeing how the EVA helmet comes out. :)

Hello. i have noticed that you are making an EVA helm (all be it a halo reach one) and i am also very interested in making myself one, but i am still trying to thin how to make the visor, which is very big, and all i can think of is Vaccum foming a picec of perspex or Poly carbonate, but that would be expansive, have you got any other ideas of how to create the collosal visor? if you can help i would be very grateful

There are several ways to do it sir. Vac-form, or only cut out the indented parts of the visor and back width motorcycle visors, pour the visor from crystal-clear. Any of those would work. If you can wait I will be posting video every step of the way on the emile Eva helmet.

really want to try that foam seems like a fun mixing it up thing to do. Have you seen the guy who put air drying clay inside the helmet and then lets it dry and pulls the paper off? He has a sculpt after that and just sands it i guess, either way looks really cool.

Dude love the setup you have man, i gotta make a shed or something like that when i get my house for sure. :) IT'll be the first project, and by the way good work on the helmet. I like the helmet

this is cool, but i have so much armor to work on, it's overwhelming. sigh...maybe before reach comes out.

EDIT: i meant i wanted to make reach armor, just dont have the time before my deadline.

using foam is a nice idea ben!!! hope you can finish it soon. i would love to make one of those but im working on a hd assult rifle and it is super hard!!!

Interesting idea with the foam. Can't wait to see how well it carves. Looking forward to more of your progress vids.

Wow! That flex foam looks like it might be the way to go for molding helms! (Although I don't have the capital to spend on it. :( ) Can't wait to see how well it carves! You mentioned two options for making the visor, but what are you intending to do for it? Also, who modeled Emile's helm?

Cheers!

Glad you were paying attention sir.

Eh, feels like I'm back in Spanish 4 class. ;) I didn't listen through all the audio...

I didn't think that anyone had modeled Emile's helm yet, and was therefore a bit curious.
