Hello everyone. I'm android272 and I am making Master Chief Mark V armor. I started this bild
6/17/10 and my goal is to finish it before Halo Reach comes out. I know what you are thinking thats two months away and most pep armors take a year to complete. yes this is true but unfortunately I dont have a job and I taking a break before I start college so needless to say Iv got time. as you will see iv got the two had pieces, the bilt, the right shin, and both boots done. next I think that I will do the thighs then the left shin, forearm, shoulder, chest, then helm. I think that it would be beast to go from easiest to hardest to pep. I dont think that this will be to hard or take to long. tell me what you think.

what Iv got done so far

Looking good so far and your making great progress. I now what you mean with the time crunch but don't rush too much bcause then things become sloppy and quality starts to diminish. Pay attention to detail. Trust me in the end it will pay off bigtime. Good luck!

Nice pepping. You have a good start on your suit.
As for your "Time Crunch": If your working at it as much as I am you should be able to get it done before the release of reach.
Keep posting your progress so that we can keep you motivated and inspired.
Good luck with your project. :)

If you sit down like I am and just pep all day long, you can probably finish most of it within a month I imagine. I also have to say that from the pictures, your pep looks really good.

I wish I had the same time availability. Set up a schedule and follow it! I'm sure you'll be able to finish in time to spend R-day playing in your brand new suit of armor. BTW, awesome work on the shin!

thanks guys. though im getting a bit tired of pepakura so what i think im going to do is reson, fiber glass, body filler and finish the peaces that i have done now then go back to the pep models. just to keep it interesting

just got back from my pawpaw's house. he has a car body shop there with all I would need to fiberglass. witch is good because I ran out of my own supply's, also he's been in the business for at least 40 years so he has some good advice. I now have the left and right hands, left and right toe's, and right heal(I left my the left heal at home) fiberglassed. the right shin is resined, and the pelvis is almost resined. the resin seems to make the paper weaker and not stronger so m not sure if im going to continue resining before I fiberglass or just add another cote. but that to me seems to be a waist of time, money and resin; and I have 8 weeks to get all this done. so tell me what you think

Pep armor doesn't take years to complete. My Jun armor is almost presentable, just needs some strapping and finishing touches, and it's been about a month and a half. Traghatti's awesome Noble 6 took him about three months. So I think as long as you set a good schedule and keep with it, you'll be fine. My advice as someone who always somehow manages to get himself into rush projects is to take your time (I need to learn this better myself) since making a mistake such as warping a piece will cost you far more time than measuring twice. Also, finish major pieces first and leave stuff that you might be able to get away with a rush job or alternative method for end run (though if you're experimenting, by all means experiment on a little handplate not a helmet!).

As far as whether resining makes it weaker or stronger..you got me! I need to take better note of engineering details like that. Good luck!

To add to troopers statement, yeah mine took me a few months. If you know what you're doing you can do it in a smaller time frame. My first time doing anything like this, and i had to remake the helmet 3 times, 3rd time the charm! As for the rest, once you figure out what technique works, you can get a lot done fairly fast. Good luck.

PS-Trooper, my ETA to CC-NOW XD

I got a lot done got both thighs peped. I tryed some thing different this time and it worked I worked on both thighs at once. I did one section ata time on one thigh then did the same section on the other thigh. it made it go a lot faster. I think that I will do this for the for arms and the shoulders.

here is an update on what I got done
