Thread: airsoft m7 halo smg

  1. airsoft m7 halo smg

ok 405th i am building the halo smg and making it and airsoft gun. dont worry ill be sure to post pics as soon as its finished, which should hopefully be in the next week or two. along the way im going to be giving daily updates, seeing as how i started today, i thought it would be a good day to announce it. im making it out of metal like the "real" one and the foregrip out of polymer, and all the other details, basically trying to make it as exact as possible, even down to the weight. so far i have the barrel and hop-up ive stolen from one of my boneyard guns, and im finishing the templates to be cut tomorrow. post any thoughts, questions, or ideas below.

hate to be a buzzkill, but pics or it didn't happen is the general rule for WIP threads here...

  5. ok im a little behind schedule.. it took longer than i thought cutting out and modifying the templates for metal work but the body should be done in 2 or 3 days at which point i will be posting pics... i also ordered the gearbox and magazines today from evike.com. links to pepakura file of smg, and everything i bought for it below.

Have fun. That clip is going to be a major PAIN to rig.
But good luck! I could imagine the look on your friend's faces when you pwn them with an SMG!
I can only imagine it's trying to rapidly oxidize your soft, fleshy, insides.

I am so totally interested in how this is going to turn out. I'm kinda obsessed with airsoft (Paintball being too expensive anymore). What kind of gun are you using for the hop-up and motor?

Click the second link in his above post. He's buying a torque motor and hop-up setup, instead of hacking apart an existing gun.

  9. ok got alot done today, middle body of the gun is cut out, which took most of the day, (for anyone copying i don't recommend actual metal) ill try to upload pics of the metal tomorrow after i cut and fold some of the metal, ill also be working on the mag-well, but without the mag in hand i wont be able to do much more than cut it out of metal, and hopefully ill have time for the grip to be done but no promises on that. but overall the main body is almost complete (as complete as i can get without the gearbox). well ill be back tomorrow for another post and to see what your all saying, and hopefully ill be able to upload pics. till then keep posting your thoughts, questions, or ideas below.

Interesting sounding build, how are you planning to do the side-loading? I'm most interested in the modifications to the mags/body/ to accommodate the unusual nature of that. And what are your plans for the hop-up? Post pics!
