I just got one of these babies and it works great. When it works.

I've had issues where the Silhouette SD won't pull the sheet far enough into the machine to read the registration marks. Does the "eye" look for the black corner on the carrier sheet and then look for the alignment mark on the cardstock?

No, the laser only scans for the reg marks on the card stock, so maybe the software doesnt have the correct places to scan in its memory. you can change the location of the scanning of the reg marks in the file toolbar and mess around with it until it works. The default works for A4 and the letter sizes in the guide work for me for US letter. If one thing is for sure, its that the craftROBO is very picky with the placement of the paper on the carrier, the amount of light in the room, and having the correct settings.

Very helpful info Charlieiscool12 ! Just started Working on my first armor build. Last weekend I spent hours trying to get the paper and machine to line up. I ended up burned through 30 sheets of paper and tonight my first print and cut lined up perfectly. Not to mention I won’t have any soreness in the hands from cutting and scoring process. You solved all the problems I was having. Was able print and cut in an hour what took me 4 hours by hand yesterday!

ive had mine se on letter, using letter files in pep since its a selection and this keeps happening any suggestions?

@Artek, try setting you files as a4 settings, but printing on letter paper, as I do in the guide

@bobsboy yes, all models of the craftROBO except the craftROBO pro.

That happens. It happens because the paper is rotated in the carrier sheet. It will cut out the same size and everything, just the lines won't line up. It's okay, and the parts will line up.

I wasted so much cardstock trying to figure this out!

Does the CR work better if the room it's in is dimly lit/completely dark?
