I can't wait for the 1.9 update. I'm really looking forward to the NPCs and I hope that they serve at least some form of function.

bf bought me minecraft a few days ago.... AND I AM ADDICTED!!! SO AWESOME!! Instead of playing Reach every night, I've been playing Minecraft every night. XD
Also, enemies spawning in your house = sh**y times.... I saw an Enderman in my house when I was about to go back there for the night, and freaked, ran back outside, used my 64 block of cobblestone and just jump/build/jump/build/jump/build me a 1x1 64 high tower. XD And stayed there all night while wanting to cry like a baby. XD
Also, dug REALLY deep down and discovered me a pre existing tunnel FULL of paths and such. It's been two days since then, and I still have YET to see all of what's down in my caves.

If there are lights inside your house they wont spawn in it. I bet if someone here made a server, private to us, it would be awesome.

Heya everyone, The few who know me will probably note tht I have bee inactive for a while. I spent a good amount of time working, gaming, and building this:
Inside the hanger:
The operations Floor:
These pictures show only the big things, as there are litterally dozens on rooms, halls,and floors inside it.
These are all on The-Legions minecraft server (I'm an Op there). I hold the same name there, with the name Greystoke ingame.
I plan on getting back into the armor building swing, as noted on my 100th post on my warthog build (check it out, I've made some major lchanges this summer.) so I wont be gaming as much as i used to. That dosen't mean I cant build with my fellow 405th members, just send a PM and I'm there.
It's good to be back-

My internal design for the Command Center was mixed. I wanted a large centeral area, such as the hanger where you could look out over the organized chaos that comes with running a base, as well as small, dark maintenance tunnels used to service the structure and play host to aliens in hiding. Anouther major thing is the sheer lack of windows, as the entire structure has 5 total. I overcame this by having windows on the inside. Having the windows looking into the hanger gives it more of a open, city look.
I hope that I'll get around to integrating my 4 block tall, variably wide door into the hanger. Its a crazy piece of piston/redstone work. The only problem is that the pistons can get out of sync if you spaz out on the control switch. Its in my cleverly named Evil Lair on the server. If you hop on the server and see me around, I'd be happy to give you a tour/lesson on my many redstone masterpieces.
I did have experience on my side, as i made one thats 1/2 the size of it, but that got lost in a map corruption. Heres what the old one looked like:
It had a similar interior layout, but with much less "stuff"

These were back in the days that you could shoot out of iron doors, without getting shot yourself.
I also had a supply depot "Shop" but there's no pictures of that.
With the server crash, I resolved to rebuild it, just twice as big.
These were all done by looking at the model in the data editor, establishing a scale, and tediously placing and breaking blocks until I got it right. If I didnt like how a block looked, I would try all sorts of combinations until the best one was found. The big CC took about 3 days of work to complete the exterior, and a few months of off-and-on work on the inside.
Still, it was worth it. The feeling of satisfaction that you get when you can say you built it yourself is awsome. If anyone in the world can relate to that, Its the 405th members.

This is the most recent thread for me to show off my latest work in Minecraft, so hopefully I'm not necroing too much >_< I would've created a new thread but I cant. I tend to do a lot of looking around and not much posting
