To make the EVA and PILOT visor you would have to Vacuum Form it.

The most asked question on the topic might be. "Where can one Vacuum Form a visor?"

My answer is MAKE YOUR OWN

I believe I have found my new project.

Vacuum forming was used a lot for ODST visors and there was a huge period in 2009 of vacuum forming due to the release of ODST. Vacuum forming is the best method to make curved or complex visors, but a lot of people have the problem of getting the materials and actually tinting the visors.

you can get a spray on tint it not cheap and i does have some nasty fumes but any one that has worked with fiber glass and/or reson knows how to handle the just ventilation and a mask i'll try to post a link in a bit but im on my way out the door at the moment

looks really good...how do you plan to tint it?

I dont think that would be a problem. Like Spartan 510 said. Spray on tint. I never used it but I know it works.

The only thing you need to watch out for with these spray on tints, especially the Night Shade one is they are super thin and runny so you need to put on very light coats and build them up. Other wise it will run all over the place and make a huge mess, and ruin your peace.

ya i ran into the problem im maken a reach EVA helmet and this stuff is the way to go but from what i can tell your pree limeted for colors and thinks misfitjh for that thin coat tip i probibly would have screwd that up haha my luck but one thing i might try is hang drying it so that theres run off

i tried to use 6mm perspex. it didnt work. you can go really really thin with vac forming

Iv'e heard people say theres no such thing as a dumb question but I think I have a nice dumb one for ya'. When using the spray on tint do you spray it on the inside or the outside of the visor? Im currently working on a pilot helmet myself and at the rate it's going I'll be making the visor soon. so I'd like an answer before I mess up.
