spartans never die

Hi my names Bryan, I just started my marcus fenix armor a couple of weeks ago so it would be done by the gears 3 release. I started the project with a friend, but because of highschool her armor is not as far along as mine (yes i said HER.. shes a girl and she can come close to kicking my ass on insane) therefore i am not posting it yet. after gathering some info and pep files i decided we where going to try and scratch build the armor using cardboard instead of pep files. mostly because as im sure some of you know there are some pieces that pep files are just not detailed enough for, and create more hassle than they save. plus there are very few people who have done a full COG suit, let alone done it well. so i just decided to finally use my 405th account and post my progress for your review. all that is left to do in cardboard are the shoulder lights and better integration of the boots and shins. I also want to let everyone know that this armor is not going to be a hundred percent game accurate. alot of the pieces are going to be slightly altered, while some are accurate. most all of the alterations i am making are things i think will make the armor look and function better in real life, as well as alterations made to the game armor by Nightmare Armor Studios when they did their COG build. if you dont know who they are, pleasseee google them or check them out at www.exomechs.com they do amazing work and inspired me to start this project.
PS i have done and finished pep armor before but if anyone has any tips on how the resin and bondo process may differ for cardboard pleaseee give me some tips.
in addition i have a picture of the COG tags that i hand made in this post (i think they look more realistic than the reproduction ones) im currently selling them for $20 a set locally, and if i get a good response on this forum i will sell them for this same price (the tag itself will most likely be sold blank) online, maybe on ebay... let me know what you think
