hey everyone. ive been lurking for a while now and just started to do H3ODST helmet. im only doing just the helmet, but who knows maybe i'll do the armour later on. so far i just pep'd Kirrou tester for size. im not sure whos hd odst helm im going to do yet? any suggestions?

what do you guys think? too small/big. its at 285mm right now. i wear a 7-3/8" fitted ball cap if that helps with my melon size

i feel like i should size it bigger, because i have to stretch the opening when i put it on. also it seem like my face is really close to the visor. any feedback is welcome. thanks for your time.

The pep looks great. No warping from what I can see. If you do have to stretch it out to get it on you should probably make a bigger one because it won't stretch once you do all the finishing work on it. Great job to start though, keep it up.

ODST helmet tends to be a little narrow on the front/visor. I did one helmet for my younger son and it takes effort to put it one. I will insert a cardboard tubing inside to stretch it when I resin it.

I think it looks perfectly scaled. I would do what CoolC suggested and put some sort of temporary support inside to stratch it out when you harden it (I used chopsticks for my current build). Pep work looks great. What is the height & width on it right now? Good luck on the build.

right now its at 285mm for the height so it makes the 242mm on the width

i just dont know if i should bump up the scale, i guess i could always cut the opening bigger too right?

okay so i finally got done with the HD ODST helmet by Kirrou. its been such a slow process cuz i have been so busy lately with trying to train for a half marathon in a few months. so ive only had a few hours each day to cut and glue pieces. i didnt want to bore people with that part of the pepakura process.
the HD is scaled to 289mm on the height.

LD(left) - HD(right)

only thing that off is in the front. i dont know what happened but it doesnt seem to affect anything else

please comment/critique, i need all the help i can get

VERY nice! I don't see any issues with it at all! Clean folds, no warping.. and that front peice is nothing. Bondo will fit it no prob!

Nicely done. Kirrou's helmet is one of the best.

I see you didn't pep the vents on the sides. I did the same thing, and just printed new ones to glue on after it was pep'd. Can't wait to see it finished!
