Well, here's the last update on my SMG's before they get painted.
I guess this project hasn't been too popular so far :/ oh well, this should change that...

Anyway, my finished SMG's.

Extending stock. (Not very thoroughly documented, I know, but pretty self-explanatory.)

And that's about it. Two guns in one week. I'd say that's pretty good :D

Next update I'll have them textured and painted. Let me know what you think.

Masterfully done!

Haha, I couldn't help but notice the Halo 3 ODST Soundtrack in the background of your assembly video. Brilliant. ;)

All I can say is these are genuine works of art, amazingly precise. I've just been cutting parts when needed on my builds, but your much more methodical approach is clearly better (that and your overall skill), thanks for the tip. What kind of wood are you using? It looks much stronger than MDF of similar project boards.

oooooooooooooo.... purdy.... Those look fantastic! I love how everything moves and is not just a static prop. Looking forward to seeing the finished project!

Whoooo. And I almost missed this build! So here we have not 1 but 2 works of art. LOVE IT.

Incredible work and craftsmanship. Definitely the best SMG props I've seen so far. I love the incorporated working parts: the collapsible stocks, the spring-loaded charging handles, the foldable front grip, and the removable mags. You definitely have something to be proud of with these two; really looking forward to seeing them painted and finished and in the hands of a Spartan. Keep up the great work. :cool

Thank you. Thanks everyone for the encouraging words.
I used nothing but 1/8", 1/4", and 3/8" birch plywood from Michael's for this entire project.

Well here's the final product. Warning: the following pictures contain copious amounts of pool felt.
