Welcome to teh 405th Man!!! Nice job on the helmet too, And its good to finally see someone else besides me who uses power tools xD Lol. Cause i just got done sanding my helmet today and it would have taken longer without them. Nice job. Cant wait for more.

Thanks, I think if you are going to put the time and money into this fun hobby do your best. I will definatly check out your build and nice to meet you.

Ok mold makers question, I plan to mold my helmet, does anyone think there would be a problem installing my dual visor before I mold? Or should I just tape off a single visor? Thanks guys

Here is the helmet with the mirror visor. I will hold off on the dual visor until I have made my mold. Thanks for checking it out.

It would be best to hold off on the double visor until you after you make your mold because you would just wind up cutting that part out of the mold to install a real visor so it doesnt matter if it is in there or not. Hope it works out for ya.

Started the mold process using rebound 25. There are some really good video tut. out there for it.

Is that stuff expensive or hard to use at all? Cause ive been wanting to make grenade and Knife molds but i dont know if i can afford it or not.

Rebound 25 is very easy to use and relative cheap.

You can brush it on, and when you use Thi-Vex and Silicone Thinner, you can make it thicker and thinner.

If you make a Helmet Mold, 1kg is enough. I get about 5 Layers with it and there is also some Material left for Molding Keys.

About the Helmet:

Great Work, shiny and smooth!

Thanks everyone, I really like working with it. Its a little runny at first. siscois is correct the thi-vex thickening agent helps with that. Smooth-on has some excellent videos if you are interested in doing this. I purchased the larger quantities for other armor and props. It was about 450 shipped. You could probibly get it for around 350 with the trial sizes.
