Glumar's ODST build.

So, after an issue involving an entire canister of Bondo....I've decided to shuffle the cards and try again. In other words, I scrapped the Mk. VI and decided to go with an ODST suit instead.

Now, I've been working on this for the past half hour, it's not much to look at, but compared to some of my other PEP work, it's much neater.

I'm going to take things slow and hopefully, I'll have a much neater product.

Stay tuned.

Looks good so far man!

Welcome to the troopers, glad to see another man joining the ranks. Make sure you check in on Skullboy's ODST lobby thread and get yourself added to the builds there!

Good luck hope to see more soon!!

Ah, thank you sir. I will do just that.

Glad to see you're joining the Helljumpers! We can always use an extra trooper.

Your pep looks like its coming along nicely, can't wait to see more. Who's helmet is that btw?

I actually don't know. I got it from the 4shared archive. It said unknown ODST (medium def) It seemed the easiest form of the PEP that I've seen so I decided to do it.

This is all for tonight. I don't wanna be handling an Xacto knife while half asleep. I made that mistake once....not again.

Great progress man!

Keep working like that and you'll have the whole suite peped in no time. Then comes the fun part of hardening and BONDO! *ominous music*

Thanks. I have a question though. How do I keep the neckhole open during the resining. I made the mistake of not doing that with my Scout helm and I had to cut it. I've seen people use chopsticks, but I was wondering if there was a better way?

Partially resined. Now my question is, I want to do the rest in foam. I know what foam to by and the process of putting it together. But, I don't know what I use to form the shapes. A hot knife is what I've heard. But, where the hell do I get one?

So, I was blessed enough to be near a 'Harbor Freight' store. I am off to get some foam. I'm doing the ODST torso, so, there isn't much detail to it. But, I'm going to eventually need a hot knife. I've found some online, but for about $30. Does anyone know where I can find a cheaper one?

I went ahead and painted it to know where to apply the filler. After this, I plan on repainting it a steel color, then adding a white stripe down the middle.

Some pieces fell apart during the Rondo process. I am currently remedying this with hotglue and binder clips. We'll see how that goes.

I got my visor in today. I went ahead and tried it out (not mounted) Looks pretty cool.

Yes, I realize I have more sanding to do. If anything sees any other issues. Please tell. I NEED to finish this the day before CEA's release.
