Hey 405th, been busy with high school and such, but finally got around to posting some pictures of some stuff I've been working on/finished. I'll keep this thread updated with anything that I do. Due to an awesome art teacher this year that lets me build props for our "masterworks" that we have to turn in every 3-4 weeks, I have even more reason to do what I love. This post will contain a JFO wip, and a finished custom combat knife. Hope you enjoy, and stay tuned for (inevitably) more updates. Before I forget, just a few acknowledgments, I'd love to think IroniumCostuming for a great JFO file, and Satchmo III for providing a great build to base mine off of.

i was hopeing to see a jfo! your helmets look great! your knife though................it looks lethal!

Thanks guys for all the great feedback, the blue chromed visor just came in and sadly it's about 1/6 inch two short in two spots. I'll have to do a little work to fix it, but I have a plan. Stay tuned 405th.

Everything looks amazing dude!! Very nice JFO. More pics please!
Ask and you will (eventually) receive. Anyways, I just gone done doing some work today on the visor area to make sure that there won't be any gaps when it's installed, and applied some more body filler. Also started the neck seal that will go in the helmet, and I got a few pics of the visor in the helmet. Hope you guys enjoy.

Ya I guess I should've specified, but that is the start of the neck seal. It just hasn't been put in yet cause I'm still doing some adjustments, and mostly just trying to make sure I can fit my head through it.

Alright 405th, not too much of an update, but I just finished the paint job on one of my friend's smick pistol today. Excuse the poor camera quality, but I think you get an idea of the paint job. First time using an airbrush too. That silver sure came out nice...

Hey 405th, been a while since my last post, but wrestling and high school sure have kept me busy. Over the past month or so I've made some decent progress on JFO, and have begun a few other projects. Highlights of the work on JFO include installing the visor, continuing sanding to make the helmet smooth, starting to add details, began the helmet attachment, and etched in visor detail. A friend of mine has started a MKV helmet from halo 1, and it has been resined and rondoed. Also, you can see the start of the rest of my armor, beginning with Forged Reclaimer's Gungnir Knee and (soon to be) shin. As always, pictures speak louder than words, so here you go...

Bondoing the visor seam with the final visor taped up and in place is a great idea to make the helmet flush with the visor! And it looks like it paid off, that thing looks cool even unpainted.

It does work pretty well, but I found that bondo seems to create a lot of air gaps/bubbles. In the end, I ended up using a little bit of epoxy to hit the big spots, like the toppish part of the visor. And I have to give credit to Blackula and Satchmo III for that idea, I didn't make it up at all.

very nice work something i'll never get to. also why r u still run windows vista? dont u know Vista is from the devil -looks at my poor desktop-
