Halo Reach Health Pack (WIP)

ok so as i came to a near end of pepakura for my MK VI, and hours of playing Halo Reach, I got an idea of making a Reach Health Pack. The only Problem? There's no pep for the Halo Reach version. So i took it onto myself to create one from what i had. I did have the Halo CE version Health Pack. So with a little Reference pictures and a nice size cardboard box I'm on my way to a prop that has potential. So far I cut and taped various pieces of cardboard to simulate the 3D-ness. Also Created a wall mount for the pack so i can attach it to the wall. I intend to Fiberglass and bondo both as well as split the pack in half and fill with foam, to house "Health Items", attach hinge and lock. I'll post pictures as soon as i can. :cool

I'm no expert, and my opinion might not have as much weight just yet, but I like it!

Nice. But it won't be cool unless it glows red or you make it an actual storage unit for first aid supplies.

I personally think it would be better to replace the dumb H with the classic red cross, but you're probably one of those people who prefers to be a slave to accuracy

It will have lights, and will actually house medical supplies (Band-aids, Neosporin, peroxide, etc)

Also, yes I plan on having the H, Being in the Military i have come accustomed to accuracy in my work, no matter how lame it is.

I see you used a lot of tape. Will you be replacing it with a form of glue before you start applying the resin to it?

Lol, Yes. I could only imagine applying the resin directly to it with only tape and then having it come apart when it heats up. I will end up Hot gluing key points to avoid that happening. I am also going to try out this Aqua-Resin stuff since i live in New Jersey and its like 20 Degrees out and not having adequate space outside (next door neighbors whose kids like to play outside) until it warms up outside.

Heat isn't necessarily the reason why the tape comes loose, it'll rather be the solvents that make your tape unsticky.

Ahh. Yea but it shouldn't matter as much since I'm going to try that Aqua-Resin.

ok finnaly got my supplies in and ready to do some resin and bondo work

PIC UPDATE!!!!!!
Ok been away on vacation and have actually managed to get some bondo on this thing so here are some update pictures.




just some rough sanding and then more detailed bondo...

hope to get this thing fully covered in bondo before i split it open....
