CQB Helmet in an Asus promotion

I was at TigerDirect today looking for a Reach Xbox 360 controller when I saw this:









at first when I was passing by it, it looks like any generic FPS solider: but when I went back, I saw the CQB Helmet! they likely modified it to deceive the casual gamer. I also noticed that the "Republic of Gamers" Solider had a LED behind the visor!

BEFORE you ask, YES, I was planning to buy it! I went to the manager and asked if they sell their promotional stands. They don't sell them but they throw them out. I asked if I could have it when they throw it out and the manager said yes...until he wanted me to confirm which promotional stand...at that point. He told me that they have to send that back to Asus when they are done with it. I WONDER why???

Maybe he simply realised that they don't sell that stuff after all and wanted to cover up his mistake :-)

I saw that graphic in an ASUS ad in MaximumPC magazine a few months ago. I'll have to go through my back issues and find it again.
