    PICS: FanExpo 2012

Got my costume (and my daughter's) finished just in time for the anime/comic convention. Boy, was it fun.

At the last minute, she wanted to go as Batgirl. That's ok, because Adam West and Burt Ward was there. And the Batmobile!! Her Batgirl was of the same era so she fit right in. I did take her Zaku helmet along just in case she wanted switch it out. (Which she did.. so, it was cool)

So impressed in how friendly everyone was! Quite exhausting for me. I never really did go through the vendors booths though. I was pulled in every direction for photo-ops. For 6 hours! Even during my lunch, when my helmet was off, I felt cameras on me. Still cool.

There were a few really awesome builds there. Anyone from the 405th?!!?

Obviously the MC was Longshot. The N7, she's not 405th, but I know her.

    I lurk.

  4. Both of your helmets look fantastic. Really good for how rushed the job was! Nice to hear you got a lot of positive attention from your work. I'd love to see any of your future work.

    Woooot!

You should build a full set of armor to go with that helmet...

Man, wish I could have been there that year. Have you ever thought about making the rest of that armor? A man who was featured in pop. science used stilts to improve his height, and several hiking back-packs to hold the frame together. Make an easy animatronic hand (PVC, springs, and bolts) and you have one do-it-yourself Gundam!
