Gentlemen,

This will be my attempt to get into the world of prop making, I am very open to any feedback this post and my blog are build to help me correct my mistakes and you not to make mine. I will be trying to update both this thread and my blog equally but feel free to check both the URL: darksigilprops.blogspot.com , Please enjoy responsibly.

Ugh filler.... I am not a fan of working with this stuff, inpart due to the learning curve but its getting better...

Nice picture DarkSigi, about the helmet and different steps for making it. I visited your blog site. very interesting. I am proud of visiting here.

I don't think so, this was more of a test run im going to stick with helmets due to the easy of molding.

Update:

After a little facial reconstruction this bondo is kicking my butt, next project i will not just glop it on..... I should have a guide coat on by the end of the day or tommorrow morning, thanks for your support

Step 6: Guide coat of paint, I went with high gloss black so I could see where is messed up.... I have a ton of work left to do....

Looks very rounded... almost like there was too much sanding... But I wouldn't know, I've never played Dead Space. It's just from the pictures I have seen the helmets look much more angular.

Ah hmmm thats a good point... Thanks keep the input coming, I would like some input on how to make the edges more shard?? I thinking a flat sanding block?
 
Well, when I sand an edge into something I tend to sand linear along the face... when I get to a curve, bend, or corner, I literally just sand the other face and leave the corner alone. It's really the only way you can keep angles.
