I decided to reboot my Reach build but this time, with Foam! :D

Honestly, I had a decision problem. My mind kept arguing "Reach Armor or MKVIII Armor?". I got so frustrated that I had to try both. My attempt at the MKVII Knee templateless - Failed. My attempt at the Reach Handplates templateless - SUCCESS! So I decided to ditch the MKVII and go with Reach instead.

Armour Specifications will be listed below:

-Helmet: EOD
--Attachement: CNM

-Torso
--Attachment: Tactical LRP

-Cod
--Attachment:

-Bicep
--Left Attachment: GUNGIR
--Right Attachment: UA/Multi-Threat

-Forearm:
--Left Attachment: Buckler

-Handplates:

-Thigh:
--Left Attachment: Tactical/Hardcase

-Knee: GUNGIR

-Shin:

Pictures will appear as I advance but as of now, I only have this to show:

The thing on the top left was the failed attempt at the MKVII Knee. It turned out to be a badass handplate.

More building this Friday as that's when I can get my printer up and running for the foam templates.
Stay tuned!

Note! First post has been updated with the Armor Specifications.
Sorry for the double post, by the way!

really sweet foam work
ive been wanting to try foam for a bit but i had takin the pep route first, i thought it might be a little faster not having to trace and cut and a little less expensive than buying all the foam pieces, im in short supply with materials being so close to the border so all i have is autoshops to get things from..lol
but im hoping to try foam out after my first team black custom build
keep it up!!!

Cool build nice to see you on here again

Thanks Hyper! I've been doing some work with the 501st(I'm only 15 making me the youngest and only underaged member of the Outpost). With much thoughts, I decided to reboot my Reach Armor and where else is better to display it other than the 405th? :D

I've started with Pep and it has helped me greatly! You should do so too as you're already doing so :p

Update! I've come to a realization I'm quite terrible at Foamworks. I won't give up though, I just need better tools, materials and skills but I'll pick those up along the way. Anyways, I've built the Shoulder Attachments.

Operator-Right Shoulder

The GUNGIR shoulder is pretty okay for one of my first Foamworks but the Operator, I'd say it's warped. I'll do whatever I can to fix that. Do note I did not add the details that looks like vents on the sides. I decided to leave it out.

Tell me what you think.

Thanks all!

As of now, I'm waiting for my glue gun to heat up so I can assemble the Abs Wrap. Pictures soon!

So yeah, I've been working out and I finally got the Abs I've been dreaming of!

These Abs Wrap fit me perfectly!

Whateth doeseth thouth thinketh?

UPDATE!

Since this is my first foam build, I decided not to go oh-so too very detailed.

Yep! All my creations are quite "ngeh" in person but I'm doing all I can to make it look good.

Anyways, I'm made the Left Bicep:

As you can see, incomplete and lacks in details but there's a reason to that! I was too lazy to put those tiny details and they're gonna be blocked by the shoulder attachment anyway.

Here's a picture wit the Operator Shoulder attached. Do not I'm not very muscular so the biceps are very loose. THIS CALLS FOR PADDING!

What do you think?

I don't know why you don't think you've got foam working skills, what I've seen so far is pretty impressive!

What kind of foam are you using though? It may be a little hard to work with if the foam if it is too thin ( or thick )

Anywho, keep up the great work. Can't wait to see more!

Danke for your kind words :3 I use a Camping mat as EVA Floor Mats are rare and expensive here. These are a bit more softer than the Foam you see everywhere on the forum.

Update!

I noticed how my updates really lack in content. To heck with it! Everyone loves updates! :D

Anyways, I have crafted the UA/Buckler and so far, this is one piece that I'm really happy with how it came out :p

Curved as it is supposed to be.

Another update for today!

Built the forearm and I must say that the forearm is one of my best foam builds so far.
Pictures, you ask? Inbound!

There is a gap on the convexed details, as always, I will try and fix that!

With UA/Buckler:

The whole Left Arm:

It seems short but it's perfect. I just placed it close together so I could take a picture without taking much space.

Other news! I'm too lazy to build another Bicep(Those are a pain in the bottom for me to build!), my right arm is gonna be Bionic. Yep! Bionic :D
Stay tuned!
