Thank's guys.

I spent most of the week, doing a bunch of fine sanding, and am pretty pleased with the results.

Next I will add the final details. Hopefully by mid week I can start molding.

Thanks for looking.

I had the chance to hold this in my hands yesterday and let me tell you, the pics don't do it justice. It is incredible. The detail is insane. I'm excited to see it finished for sure. :D

P.S. I also got to see his finished AR and that thing is beyond amazing! :D

such amazing work astounding paint job

what would a lowly noob need to in order to request one of these marvelous pieces of work?

A huge portion of the thread got deleted. So the next few posts will be to replace my updates.

March 5:

So I wanted to grip to have the raised circles on it, and wanted them to have a rounded look, but didn't want to sand or mold them. So I took the thinnest plastic I had and cut out a bunch of circles.

Then I filled an empty glue bottle with some latex black paint, and applied it to each circle. Enough to make it bead up and give it a nice round surface.

Once the paint was dry I could peel each circle up.

Then apply them to the grip.

After a few extra parts, and some primer, the base model of the gun is 98% done.

Now I get to work on the scope part, and the ODST suppressor.

March 20:

I made the scope from acrylic, and bondo. I used a belt sander to shape the scope. This was the only pic I grabbed.

Now it is completely finished.

And finally.
102_3817_zps80007573.jpg

Just to give you an idea of how long it takes to make molds, I watched all 3 Lord of the Rings Extended cut movies during the whole process. :eek

March 23:

I did some test pulls with the mold, and they came out great. I dusted the mold with silver powder for this effect.

Overall I am very pleased with the way it turned out.

I also started on an ODST attachment. I'll try to get some pictures up soon. As soon as I get the supressor finished, I will post both versions up in the classifieds.

I'm working on the mold now. Hopefully in the next few days I will have one completely finished for myself.

Stay tuned.

April 11:

Well, some good news and bad news.

The good news is that I finished an ODST pistol for myself and it turned out fantastic.

The bad news is that I completely forgot to check how big it was supposed to be, and it is huge. The ODST pistol uses the same gun as a base, but a smaller scale. But it still looks awesome!

In order for the suppressor to fit, I had to chop off the front of the gun.
102_3845_zps90edf0d6.jpg

And instead of making a new mold for extended magazines, I just made a spacer to fit in the mag well.

Her it is with the basecoat finished.

Then I did some silver dry brush, and a blackwash.

Incredible job, as always. I only wish I could afford to purchase one of your guns. I'd love one of the M6Gs or one of the SOCOMs. I can't wait to see when you tackle the Battle Rifle!
