New guy halo 4 helmet build

Hey there fellow 405th. Just wanted to share the progress of my halo 4 master cheif helmet that im trying to crunch out before the games launch! This will be the third helmet i have created within the last couple of months and i plan to make this the most detailed and game accurate. The pep file was created by fellow 405th member Hornor and is very detailed and awsome.

Very nice but you do know its very easy to get for pictures from photobucket on to the 405th, just simpley click on the IMG code of your picture and will automatically copy for you, then you just need to paste it into a reply to your thread.

How does it feel on your head? Looks a little small and till you add in foam padding or such it will sit even higher on your head. Just something to think about as your working on it. Scale is a BIZATCH to say the least for any of these builds.

Like a glove man. The first print out of the pep looked tiny so i trashed it and scaled it to fit my big head.

So i lied about finishing the helm yesterday. Power went out for several hours and no power= no dremmel. Here is the finished helm! i put a stupid amount of work into it to make it the most game accurate helm out there right now. Pay no attention to the visor mess because that's going to come out after i mold it. First layer of primer on, noticed a couple spots i will touch up but anyway here are the pics!

after finishing this i feel like i need a smoke and a stiff drink. Let me know what you guys think!

This molding process is a blast! I feel like I'm in grade 2 arts and crafts time lol

Hopefully i'll have a couple cast by tomorrow and start the painting process!

I can see the finish line...

First pull is on the left. Came out perfect other then the fact that i felt the front was a bit to wide, easily fixed with my heat gun though.

Now to paint and install some visors!

Are you makin' some for your friends, and if so... Just kidding. I'm working on my own Halo 4 Helm on the side, but I'm more concentrating on the two sets I'm building.

Hahaha they could be...?
My halo 4 helm was my original project i started in July...Since then I've made a MK5 and an H3 Recon helm and still havent finished this halo 4 helm. I think its slowly sucking the life force outta me lol

Pretty much finished up my first pull from my halo 4 mold. Just need to add some clean up paint touches and im done! finally!
