Hi everyone,

We are new to the 405th but not to the world of halo cosplays. This account is being shared by my boyfriend wolf and myself. We are each building a custom set of spartan armor from reach. We are doing this process as a team, our plan is to make an awesome couple armor together. We will post updates of our progress so we can catalog our experiences.
We started with finding foam templates for our chest plates. We cut the peices and glued them together just for sizing purposes. Ill update soon

Update!

Hey everyone its Gadget and Wolf, we finally got the update pictures started. We sized the templates properly and glued them together just to be safe. Now we are transferring the pieces to foam and starting the build.

Update time!

Hey it's gadget here

I'm stuck home due to a knee injury so I put some serious time into the armor. I keep getting distracted by halo 4 but today I picked away at quite a bit. I got the back mostly done and started on the front. Hopefully by the end of the week the chest piece will be done. Wolf got a little of his front done but can't pull him away from the game lol. But enough rambling here are pictures of the new progress. Ill keep posting updates, thanks everyone!!!

Another gadget update!

It's gadget again! I did some more armor work. Sorry about all the pictures that will be posted between wolf and I, we are just really excited about this armor and want to log everything to show it to friends, family, and peers. So I finished the main chest piece. Did most of it out of 6mm craft foam except for parts I needed to be super sturdy. I used Eva foam for those pieces. Now that i know it's the right size and fit I'm going to go back on the inside and reenforce the craft foam with Eva foam backing. Just to make sure it doesn't get all warped when I go to plasti dip it. I'm pretty excited with how it's turning out so far. Please let me know what you think. but now it will be time to detail the chest plate and start laying out my under suit without further ado here are today's pictures.

Everything looks great so far! I'm starting to see alot of people working with foam and each build brings us one step closer to matching the level of detail that most people can get from pep. I'll be watching this one!

Update,update, update

It's wolf and I finally had time to do some armor work with gadget. She has gotten way ahead of me but ill catch up. She's starting to detail her chest so I took some pictures of what she did. As for myself I finally got my other back blade done and I started the front. Didn't get too far due to lack of Eva foam but there will be more soon. Also our cat bell decided she wanted to be a spartan too!! It's adorable

Yay updates!!

Hello 405th!!!

It's gadget here and I have updates wolf finally got motivated to start armor work! All it took was some really crappy noobs on halo. He got his back done and started to detail it. He also started laying 2mm foam over the back to give it a nice seamless finish and get the look of the breaks in the armor. I finished my entire chest I installed my collar and did the spine. And now it's time for me to star laying the 2mm foam. Sadly we have no more Eva foam so we have to put a halt on any other pieces till we get more supplies.

thank you so much everyone we are so glad to hear you guys like it so far!!!! We are trying our hardest to make the 405th proud!

@MSTRUVMGC- sad part is we have a boy dog and hes in a dress and the girl cat is in armor haha

More updates soon everyone, we got more foam!!!!! its multi colored but it will do the job just fine!

Hey guys,

It's Wolf back with just a commertary update. Gadgets torso is done being built, details are on, the thing remaining is the final foam over lay. My torso is done being built, all detailed out, all that is remaining is the final foam over lay. Hoping to have it done (aside from paint and plasti dip)before next weekend, then start on the Cod pieces. Pics will be up soon, proably tomorrow. Till then keep on truckin guys and gals.
