Imperius the Archangel of valor is my newest project. In Diablo 3 he is the leader of the Angiris Council.
This is a scratch and foam build.
You can follow me on my new facebook page for more informations.

Here the model of Imperius and his spear Solarion.

Gauntlets

The first part was an ordinary bracer template

Very important are the correct details. Only this give a good result.

The latest status of my torso. I added the collar and some details, but it needs much more time for a perfect end result.

And here the first pics of my pauldrons. I think they´re one of the important parts at the armor.

One Pauldron contains three parts. This one is the upper part and it required the most details.

All six parts. Next step are the high details and after this i can seal the whole **** xD

Looking really nice man. Good to see plastizote is being used more now as its a much better foam type for this kind of craft. Just a shame you have to either use lots of PVA first or lots of coats of plastidip to get the smooth finish for your paint. Anyways big admirer of this build so +1 :)

Tom.

thx drack :)
I use a woodglue with pva to seal the armor and after this i will start to paint.

I would highly recommend using paint on plastidip after the PVA to give a much smoother finish ready for your paint as it self levels and gives your piece that extra edge. Not sure how easy it is to get in Germany but I am sure I have seen guys using it over there.

Yep, you´re right. In germany Plastidip is not easy to obtain or it is very expensive. So, i hadn't thought about it.
But I want a perfect result, so it´s the better way to use plastidip. Thanks for the good tip!

Well a 400ml can of paint on PDip should be enough for a suit as you only need to apply one coat of it. I bought a 2.5ltr can and its done 2 suits, a hammer and a gun and still going.

Now the first pics of Imperius Spear, Solarion. I have made two versions of the blades, hard and soft. The white blades are really sharp, they look much better, but I prefer the soft version for conventions.

In the next two days i will finish my Spear ,,Solarion" and Tyraels Sword ,,El´druin", then you can see the finish weapons on facebook and a special thread.

I finished Solarion, the spear of Imperius. It needs a long time but I think he looks very good.
The spear with his three parts is over two metres long, but light and easy to carry.

I would be very happy for feedback.

Very sexy! I'm not familiar with the game so was gonna ask if the gap down the centre of the blade is intentional or not?
The shoulders are looking sweet. I'd be very pleased with that work!

I think your work is great and I agree with Mike, the shoulders are looking awesome! :D
